Services
We are grouping families and similar-ranked students as much as possible, and will accommodate schedules to the best of our ability. In-person classes are available Monday - Thursday, and we are adding classes as we have demand. Let us know what your preferences are and we will do our best to work with your schedule.
At our school every student learns two martial arts simultaneously: Tae Kwon Do and Modern Arnis. The two styles, one hard and one soft, complement each other and skills learned as part of one art allow greater understanding and expression of the other. Our instructors are student focused, helping each student progress, giving feedback and adapting as needed to address the questions, needs and goals of every person on the training floor.
Arnis Seminars, usually held the first Saturday of the month, allow us to focus on our second style of martial arts in a way that we don't always get to during regular classes. Students are divided into groups of similar rank, and each group gets its own instructor so that students can focus on the requirements specific to their rank.

We started at this school 7 years ago on the recommendation from my old MMA instructor. I asked if he knew a good martial arts school in the area for kids and adults. He gave me the name of this school and I have been SO thankful for that referral. All four of us train at the school now. Our instructors are caring and encouraging. You always know that they want you to do your best and try your hardest. We wear our belts with pride.

I've been taking classes at TMA since 2004, and I can honestly say it's been one of the most rewarding adventures I've ever taken. The instructors are extremely focused on improving technique, and the ranks aren't just there for show. I truly feel like I can defend myself better, and most importantly I feel like a part of the TMA community.

TMA is formative part of my children's upbringing and a great way for our family to enjoy a common interest. We have had the honor of being involved with the school for over 10 years. My three children out rank both my husband and myself. The principles taught at the school, respect, integrity and courage (to name a few) open opportunities for valuable conversation.

I have been at True Martial Arts for a little over five years. I started in fourth grade, and have grown inside TMA. TMA had been an amazing experience. They teach self-confidence and leadership. No one is left out. I strongly believe that TMA has made who I am today, and I am glad of that. TMA has been a second family to me, one that looks out for each other and supports each other. All the instructors at TMA are people I look up to. TMA isn't your average "family martial arts school", TMA is unique. I had bad health problems a couple of years ago, and whenever my brother (who joined TMA with

My son started with True Martial Arts when he was 5 as a "Peewee Kicker" Six months later, I began training with the morning adult class. Apparently "Chris H." has not done his homework. At TMA we train in American Chung Moo Kwan which is a style of Tae Kwon Do as well as Arnis which is Philippine stick fighting. As for the "smell", I have a girlfriend with a very sensitive nose whose daughters train at TMA and she's never mentioned any smell. The staff is very friendly and the teaching is very kid-friendly. For me, I love the adult advanced evening classes on Tuesday and Thursdays. Training with

I began training at TMA as an adult about 7 years ago or so and have loved it ever since. I'd never taken any kind of martial arts training or been particularly interested, but my sister-in-law was taking the women's class twice per week and I was completely inactive and wanted to get in better shape, so I thought I would give it a try. I honestly intended to just get in for exercise and just remain a white belt. So, 7 years later I have a 1st Degree Black Belt and am working towards 2nd Degree. I've competed (and won) at sparring and forms tournaments--the last thing I thought I would ever do

I have been training at True Martial Arts for over 10 years. My son started there and got me to participate. I went in resisting it thinking I could never do this. Years later, I just received my hard earned 2nd degree black belt. Yes, it took me several years to achieve, but I did it. TMA is not a belt mill. Each student works hard to get their belts. As a student and an instructor, I’m impressed with how the school works with the students to help them get through whatever hurdle they face to get to the next level. I have seen many students mature into great martial artists with outstanding

Deciding to go to True Martial Arts has been the best thing I have done in my life so far. Learning Martial Arts there has not only helped me physically, but also mentally. The school's focus on the mental part has core values such as Courage,Honor and Respect as well as Indomitable spirit. these values helped shape my childhood and gave me a lot of self confidence in times when I didn't have very much of that. True Martial Arts is my favorite place to be and if I had not tried it out 11 years ago, I'm not sure I would be the person I am today.
