Performance Trailer
Performance Trailers, founded in 1991 by Kevin Gerhardt, has established a reputation as a leader in the design and construction of custom trailers used to carry everything from racing cars to portable corporate displays. The company has designed trailers for such companies as Ford Motor Co., General Motors, Nissan, and Toyota, which use the trailers to transport multimillion-dollar concept cars to trade shows.

Like building a custom home to exacting specifications, Performance Trailers utilizes the services of plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers, welders, machinist, and whatever tradesman necessary to create unique transporters that represent the name of the company or sponsor graphically depicted on the smooth-sided trailer.
Services
Performance Trailers is in the business of turning customer designs into reality. The company is dedicated to creating a quality product that satisfies all its customers' requirements. By leveraging the very best technologies available for each project, Performance Trailers builds state of the art custom trailers and constantly pushes the envelope for each of their creations to meet and often exceed our customers' expectations.
The need for this was to create a transport trailer that could safely transport a multi-million dollar satellite from Northern California to Florida to launch site. The satellite was longer than a normal trailer width of 102 which presented a problem. Performance Trailers was given an initial concept design that another competing company was unable to follow-through on.
The fully equipped medical trailer is designed to go to remote facilities and treat cancer patients. The machine that is housed inside is NEW technology that has been updated from the last ten years. The trailers can either go to existing clinics (medical facilities) that want to offer this treatment OR go to a facility that is outdated and needs to be updated to state-of-the-art cancer treatment equipment.
This custom, fully equipped Mobile Stage Trailer was built to be used as a mobile display to feature a client's products and services. This innovative trailer's specific customer produces software for the trucking industry, used to manage a truck's engine and operations. It also helps in driver operations including E Logs and payload management.
This Movie Studio Hair and Makeup trailer project ended up establishing a new standard for the industry, with state of the art efficient lighting, streamlined equipment maximizing space use and comfort, as well as delivering the most energy-efficient, fully loaded hair and makeup trailer available for the entertainment industry.

These guys are total scam artists. If you give them money for a build make sure they use the money on your project. For reals - any progress payments you make, all the money should be accounted for. Have them show receipts for materials and the labor going into the build.
The trailer I had built leaked tons of water into it and the breaks never worked properly. Was a total safety hazard! Dealing with Kevin and Kent was the worst experience of my professional career.
And nope, not a competitor. Just a very unhappy customer that wants anyone buying something from your company to think twice.

New foreman is on it. Quality's over the top. Put a crew on my repair and finished it in half the time as others told me it was going to take...

This is by far the worst business experience I have had with any transaction. What's worse, this purchase was for a custom trailer that was over $250,000.00
1) I feel the projects was months behind schedule :
In Jan of 2015, Performance Trailers was asked if they were going to be ready to "finish the trailer" and "install" equipment. The response was "Certainly". That answer can not be interpreted any other way than Performance Trailer being ready when the equipment shows up.
Once the equipment did show up at Performance Trailers, Kevin Gerhardt called me and said they were months aways from
