I don't think one could go wrong with choosing any accommodation at this resort. Both the townhomes and the smaller units are comfortable and very well appointed. The Heron Townhomes are on the shoreline, and the morning fog on the glassy lake and sparkling. From the location on Saranac Lake to the units to the friendly people at the resort, Ampersand Bay could not have been any better for our wedding.

Here at The Marina, we rent Fishing Boats and Pontoon Party Boats. Guests have unlimited, free use of Canoes, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards and Pedal-boats. The waterways are serene and remote, and provide many opportunities for wildlife watching.

* SOMEONE SLASHED MY TIRE
Beautiful, somewhat updated lodging. I stayed in a townhouse unit for the week and really enjoyed my stay. The home was very comfortable. The kitchen had tons of counter space, nonstick pots, gas range stove and large kitchen. The dining table could fit 4 easily and there was extra bar seating. The fireplace was easy to use and a fan kept the space cool. Upstairs room had a private balcony and jet tub. *There is no door to the bathroom.
Downstairs had the two other bedrooms, an additional bathroom and laundry room. One bedroom had a full sized bed, the other had a twin

We rented out this property for our wedding weekend allowing all of our out of town guests to stay in one place. We also hosted a welcome party on the property in place of a rehearsal dinner. Julie and her team were fabulous to work with. The property is maintained beautifully and they made sure that all of our guests arrived safely and had everything they might need throughout the weekend. There was a fire every night and people were constantly taking advantage of all of the available entertainment (paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, volleyball- you name it and they've got it available for their guests

We love this place! It works for our family. We can stretch out inside the lovely cabins and enjoy a spot close to the high peaks and by the lake. Pristine water, lovely sunsets, close to pizza!
We have stayed, with our small dog 2x. Beech and Oak. Kayaking, hiking near Paul Smith's College at the VIC, climbing St. Regis too. We also come up for the famous Winter Carnival! You have to put that on your bucket list! There's nothing like it!
It's expensive bit there are more affordable cabins . Great for fishing buddies who want to catch pike! We enjoy taking a pontoon

Stayed over the memorial day weekend. Very nice. Lake Saranac is not crowded. Kim and Linda are very nice. Grocery Stores are nearby.
The motor boat rentals are very reasonable.
However only one cottage has air conditioner.
But evening after sunset it cooled down. Overall great place to stay. Fall colors should be great in this area.

When I was a child I always dreamt of what heaven would be like and I have to say that this place is a slice of that dream. Firstly, Let's start with the staff: The marina and grounds manager 'Eric' was friendly and knowledgable. Also the property maintenance guys, 'Jordan' and 'Jake' I believe (I'm good with names) were prompt and professional when we had a small issue that needed to be taken care of.
Secondly, the scenery is immaculate and the "cabins" which are more like houses are very opulent. You have many amenities like complementary peddle
