I use Universal Med Supply where I work and always have great results. Their staff communicate well with me, insuring that all documentation is submitted and patients will have their equipment in time for discharge. The area manager for San Antonio, Terri, is awesome in communicating the deliveries and assisting me with any equipment issues that arise. On 9-15-2021 MR. GUSTAVO DOMINGUEZ. From universal med supply in the order fulfillment department. delivered my beautiful black wheelchair to me. He was very kind, patient and understanding. He explained everything to me. Answer any questions I had. he made sure I was happy and comfortable before he lefted. This company is very lucky to have someone like Mr. Dominguez working for them ..he is truly a wonderful person.. and he cares about people thank you

Around 3 months ago my roommate had an Prescription (RX) sent from the doctor to this company. The company never kept him updated, lied about speaking to the doctor, and lied about the information on the Prescription (RX).
- - Update: Since I posted, I got to talk to many individuals for this company. I learned that it's the paper work for the Doctor that is the problem. I have been very happy with all the posted updates. - - -

Ted did a nice, thorough job of setting up my follow up service call and politely keeping me Informed during several staged of the call.
While I am not happy yet with the power chair measurements and maneuvering in my home this phone call went very well
Updated 2/28/2020: I recently scheduled a service technician appointment to make modifications to my Invacare TDX SP wheelchair. The chair came with a post-production accessory modification to the hand control power seat adjuster. This accessory box came mounted to the outer right side of the primary hand control, it served as a direct shortcut

Universal med supply is the worst company to deal with I had got a scout 3 scooter through them at first they billed my insurance company and then they tried billing me that was not the worst of it I have been going round and around with them to fix my scooter my husband and I have been calling them at first they put us through to the manufacturer to trouble shoot the scooter we did all they said to do it fixed it then the next day I called them back because the same thing was happening again so I asked them if they can send a tech out to fix it they said it was out of warranty they can not fix

Worse customer service ever. A wheelchair got delivered to my mom's care home in Nov. It was too big so the care home called right away to return it and get a smaller size. It is still at the care home 6 months later! We have called and emailed the mainland office and the local office in Hawaii. The local office doesn't even pick up the phone and is very unresponsive. Fortunately, my mom has a transporter wheelchair she is using but there is no excuse not to have the right chair after 6 months. I understand that wheelchair was ordered from them because they are one of the few providers who takes

Best customer service imaginable! I worked with Customer Service Representative Ted and found him to be most patient, caring, empathetic and knowledgeable. He is truly dedicated to customer service and got the job done right the first time! He has a fun personality and his follow-up skills cannot be beat! My last chair was a Hoveround it took 6 months and to many phone calls plus 6 trip to the Dr. Universal Med less than 3 months 2 phone calls and I trip to the Dr. I wont be going any where else. Extremely happy with the chair and service. Plus the chair is 100% better than Hoveround more comfort features and turn ratio. Only thing missing is a cup holder. Thank you Ted and staff quick and painless service.

Our doctor ordered a wheelchair for my pregnant wife. It was supposed to be a rental as she doesn't need this chair after the baby is delivered. Unfortunately, they billed it as a purchase and gave her the run around for several months, suggesting it was a problem with the billing company Carecentrix. The total cost for the chair was $1,133 plus add ons. Total cost to me after insurance with be roughly $450. The same model can be purchased for $250 on Amazon. Save yourself the frustration, buy whatever you need directly.

Universalmed Supply in Irving, Texas is the worst company I have ever dealt with, from garbled phone messages to unresponsive replies. For the past month, I have been trying to receive reimbursement for their billing of a copay which I subsequently discovered my insurance had paid. It seems no one is at their desk to take calls, supervisors are in meetings, and phone messages are not returned.
