Is emotional pain, shame, and struggle getting in the way of living the life you really want? Would you like to change unwanted behaviors, feelings, and improve the quality of your relationships? It's often overwhelming trying to find the right therapist, especially when you aren't feeling your best.

I've been there. I hope that this site can give you a feel for who I am and what our work together will be like. If you think we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a phone consultation with me, free of charge. I work with clients in person at my San Rafael office, as well as offering convenient Online Therapy.
Services
As a warm and down-to-earth therapist, my approach is to offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can unpack and heal from the painful parts of your life so that you don't have to carry that weight forever. I'll ask good questions, offer insight and feedback to help you address current challenges or long-standing issues.
Psychotherapy can be a transformative journey. It provides a unique opportunity to learn about yourself and to create the lasting changes you desire in order to lead a happier and more meaningful life. I specialize in areas that I've had personal experience with, so I really get it from the inside out.
In addition to in-person sessions, I'm pleased to offer online "teletherapy" sessions for any resident of California*. The online software service I use operates over a completely protected, confidential, and HIPAA compliant platform. All you need is a secure Internet connection on your computer or mobile device and a space to talk freely in the comfort of your own home or office.
Everyone deserves access to good therapy and therefore I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on income and availability. Please don't hesitate to contact me about this. Although I do not work with insurance companies directly, I can prepare a receipt of services for you to submit for potential reimbursement.
High sensitivity (also called Sensory-Processing Sensitivity) is a well researched genetic trait shared by 15-20% of the population (as well as in at least 100 other animal species too!). It is equally dispersed among all gender identities. It is a variation that allows the nervous system and brain to process subtleties, information, emotions, and details more deeply and in a way that most people miss.
