Rockland Bakery was established over 75 years ago, as a small retail bakery, in Rockland County, New York. In 1986, the Battaglia Family purchased the bakery. The family of 5 brothers and their father used their experience, combined talents, and passion for baking to mold the bakery into what it is today, The Premier Bakery in the Northeast.
The Rockland Bakery has received numerous awards, recognitions, and also visitations from television shows like, "Good Morning America". Each year the bakery generously donates to its community through religious and non-religious organizations, schools and events. In 2001, Rockland Bakery was recognized by NYU Downtown Hospital for providing products to many rescuers of 9/11.
Rockland Bakery is dedicated to giving back to our community we serve, and we welcome the opportunity to support community events, fundraisers and other charitable efforts. Due to the volume of donation requests that we receive, we will respond to your request within 4 weeks of receiving it.

Overrated but still fun to take the kids or out of town ee. Everything they do is ok. They are essentially a commercial bread bakery serving retail stores like delis and diners etc with a retail cake and cookie bakery that is pretty good but not awesome. The highlight of course is going into the commercial part where you put on plastic gloves and take paper bags to select bagels coming out of the oven or on stack pans or selecting breads stacked the same way. Before Covid I never liked the idea that people could breath, cough or sneeze on or around the merchandise. The bagels are just ok, nothing

Staff are friendly and they have very reasonable prices! They’re definitely my to go for bagels and freshly baked pastries! Unfortunately they don’t have any vegan or gluten free options which is frustrating. There a deli located inside which has some great wraps and sandwiches! Gloves are available to pick your own bread and etc.

You can't go wrong. Fantastic bread hot out of the oven. Worth the drive if only for the aroma as you walk in. All sorts of fresh bread on enormous cooking racks. And the stuff I buy seems to be about half the price of the stores you'd buy it in. Crowded? Sure, cause it's good. Checkout line runs quick. Park in back. The walk will do you good.

Was expecting so much more after hearing people rave about this place. The bagels were great! Nice and crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The pastries unfortunately were not great at all. Cheese Danish was not very cheesy.It was dry and unappetizing. The cinnamon roll had no icing and was not any different than a packaged 7 eleven product.

I purchased 8 laced cannolis this weekend to find out only the ends were filled with the filling and rest of the cannolis were completely empty. This was done on all 8 cannolis. I understand the economy isn’t doing well but this is no way to do business. Ive been coming here for 35 years but I might have to rethink that.

I've been going to Rockland bakery for years. The smell of the first spread the environment and the big courtesy all around me it's such a great experience. I have to say that it's always been very uplifting being in the fireman and in the morning when you want to be able to wake up and you're making breakfast or you feel like having like a fresh baguette or maybe a croissant in the morning this is definitely the place to go.

My friends took me to this place. It smelled so good. When you walk in go to the right is the bakery and to the left is the fresh bread. The bakery portion was a bit confusing when we walked in, but a girl at the counter will just call next and help you. The girl was nice but seemed annoyed as I picked up different t pastries from different sections. The cannoli was bomb. The total for the whole box was $11.40. Such good prices!!! The bread section smelled good. They were making fresh bagels at like 4pm which was great! You put on gloves before entering the area and grab whatever you want and

My husband loves all things bread and comes back to this place each time we're in town or passing through. He loves the sandwiches from here, too.
Crab cakes were smaller than the last time I can here ( and more filler than actual crab compared to the last time, but pretty comparable to other places and still got the seafood crab taste or that's what you're looking for).
Buffalo winds were good, not very spicy at all but still got the Buffalo flavor.

The guy in the deli that always ruins my sandwich by messing up my order even after he repeats my order back to me. I usually get a simple roast beef on a roll with salt and pepper. Who told this man to put mayo on my sandwich? The guy is straight up rude as well. I finally found out his name is victor.

We messed up and went to Rockland Bakery instead of our go-to for crumbcake, but that's okay, because the Rockland Bakery has amazing pastries. We got cannolis and a crumbcake, but as soon as we saw the crumbcake we knew we were at the wrong place. The crumb on top is delightful and cinnamonny, but the cake itself just tastes like a dry yellow cake unfortunately. I would aaaaaaaabsolutely get all the pastries here, but I'll be going elsewhere for crumb cake!

On today's visit I picked up two hot bagels right off the conveyor. The lovely counter staff also help me with a Linzer tart and a black and white cookie. All together it only ran me $4.85. and it was all very delicious!

This place was extraordinary. I purchased a seeded rye loaf which was sliced right in front of my eyes. I got to pick out my bread before heading to the deli to make this sandwich. I didn’t make it to the pastries but I’ll be coming back! Great staff! I even suggested them to make a whole wheat everything bagel!

Their Irish soda bread, ciabatta, bagels and other breads are made fresh and delicious.
Apple crumb pie for less than 8, I am floored.
Quality quantity variety and sheer massive operation...this is a neighborhood jewel.

On our way home, my partner and I stopped at this establishment after awesome reviews from my fellow Yelpers. Rockland Bakery is a GREAT place located in Nanuet, NY. In the back are the breads & bagels and one could see them made fresh. While there, one of the staff named Ernest assisted us as it was our first time. Due to the current situation, the staff are behind a line and they retrieve the breads you requested. Then the deli has all kinds of salads in addition to the meats & cheeses. Then to the front where they had all kinds of pastries & cookies. Each section had a line but

Always quite the pleasant experience. The baked goods and deli here is top tier. It's no wonder all this goodness is distributed to other establishment throughout the Tri-State area. If I am in the area, Rockland Bakery is my go to for all baked goods like cakes and pastries for all occasions including cheat day or being the MVP point person for breakfast at the office or at home.
They offer a huge variety of loaves of bread, bagels, rolls,... etc. You will find the best strawberry short cake you have ever had here! The establishment is COVID compliant. So, you need not worry about

This was an amazing bakery where they were making baked products in their factory right in front of the customers. Apart from baked goods, they were also selling wonderful pastries, cakes, cookies, and all variety of sweet products. This was an amazing experience for the whole family. Our grandchild, whom we took to this bakery, enjoyed the bake products and the cookies very much. Also the adults in our group enjoyed the baked products and pastries very much. A must visit for all those who are in the New York New Jersey area. Thank you.
