A self-proclaimed architecture fanatic, Mat's genuine love for the art and craft of his profession is infectious. His passion draws out the best in his teammates and makes his clients feel comfortable immersing themselves in the process. A skilled and empathetic listener, he is able to read between the lines to uncover valuable insights and creative inspiration.
Joe works intimately with each of our clients' designs starting with the initial site design through to the interior fruition, including our project recently featured on This Old House Newton Generation NEXT. He fell in love with architecture at a young age and is a fan of a wide range of styles. Joe earned both a B.S. and Master's Degree in Architecture from Norwich University.
An accomplished interior designer for over 20 years, Mindy leads our interiors department. She creates comfortable and luxurious environments that celebrate timeless style, with a keen eye for detail. Mindy's designs span a broad array of styles, from American and European, Traditional, Coastal, to Country and Contemporary.

Visionary is probably the first word that comes to mind if asked to describe Matt Cummings. The task was to design a creative residential development of 6 homes. On the surface this may sound easy enough, but for added complexity Matt’s team had to incorporate in the design a 12,000sqft existing building. The result is by far the most unique… modern farm community on the North Shore. Truly a magnificent design, we could not be more please or inspired. Perhaps the best decision we have thus far made for our family is hiring Mat Cummings to design a new home to replace the aging, problem-ridden 1950's cape house we'd been livin in for over 10 years. Cummings Architects was exceptional in all phases of our project. The design for the front portico transformed our home adding much needed curb appeal and it blends well into the neighborhood. Cummings also created a design that incorporated two homeowners very different sense of style. The level of communication was superb from our initial inquiry and throughout the building phase. Where to start? From the first meeting in the front yard of our antique NH home with Mat, to the series of discussions to carefully plan and prioritize renovations, to connecting us to the right contractor, Cummings Architects team was a great partnership.
