Services
Angler Automotive Mobile Repair was established in 1999 with the goal of providing excellent automotive repair at a fair price. The original plan was to provide mobile service to Bellingham and Whatcom County with a store front for larger jobs. Over the next few years, we realized that in most cases, it was more cost effective for folks to bring their vehicles into the shop rather than repair them on the road.
We have the expertise to troubleshoot impending problems, apprise you of your automotive needs and offer repairs and service, all at one convenient location. Our Technicians are trained and certified to perform the full diagnostics, repair and service on your vehicle that meets the manufacturer specifications, and protects your warranty.
Q: Do you need an appointment for an oil change or other repair work? Do you accept drop ins? A: For the fastest service, an appointment is recommended. You can call us at 738-1245 to arrange a time. Some services such as a wiper blade or light bulb change can be done on a drop in basis, or if time allows.
Our friendly, knowledgeable staff and personalized service will remind you of a time before mega-marts and cookie cutter dealerships. Here's where to find us and learn more information about our company. After-hour vehicle drop off. We are not liable for any loss or damage to property when dropping vehicle off after hours due to the fact we are not able to put the vehicle inside our locked gated area.
Car repairs are costly. Educating yourself is free; especially when we here at Angler Automotive have come up with some general guidelines to help you keep your car in tip top shape. Our technicians have taken the time to answer commonly asked questions about automotive issues. Learn how to prolong the life of your car by taking the time to perform routine maintenance.

Angler Automotive has serviced my cars satisfactorily for more than ten years.
I trust Kirk for several reasons: He repaired my mother's car for free when a previous repair failed. He refused to charge me for diagnostic work when he could not determine why the vehicle broke down--he found marginal electronic equipment, but didn't want to start replacing unneeded parts. (That was three years ago, and the problem hasn't recurred.) He keeps his promises on estimates and delivery times.
If a repair is outside his areas of expertise, he will recommend another shop, so I go to him first

Kirk has been taking care of our cars for several years now. He is honest, thorough, does great work, and is a great guy. He has kept our 1996 geo prizm running smoothly at 205,000 miles, and is great about helping us distinguish what absolutely has to be done and what doesn't. Highly recommended! Thanks, Kirk

About 2 years ago my serpentine belt kept coming off every time it rained. The first mechanic I brought it to charged me $175.00 just to put the old belt back on, and the next time it rained it fell off again! When I brought it to Kirk, he put it back on and charge me less than $50.00! Also, recently my Van's computer needed replacing. And he was very honest with me and told me that there only a 50% chance at best that the new computer will work. He would rather be honest and truthfull than to just make a profit! -Calista

Excellent quality and reasonable pricing...Kirk is a genuine, trustworthy guy who makes sure the job is done right (and then some!)...I had a clutch replaced in my Tacoma recently and the job was done very quickly. During the job, they noticed I was missing a bracket that holds my battery in place, so they just put one on, free of charge. While it is not an expensive part, their willingness to do that goes a long way in my book.

After thinking of Angler in a favorable way, I have returned a few times. Each time after my initial visit has been a thorough disappointment. I have been overcharged, hassled, and most important: the work was not done properly. I've never given a bad follow-up, because I try not to write on Yelp unless I feel confident in my opinion. But after getting consistently burned, I do have to change my mind.

You're probably in the position that I was in 2 weeks ago: looking for an honest auto repair shop. I went through some reviews and decided on Angler Automotive and I truly could not be happier!
Kirk and Chris are very friendly, helpful, and professional with how they helped me. They brought me under the car lift to show what was wrong with my front suspension, and more importantly, what did NOT need work. At the same time, Chris went out of the way to notice that one of my rear shocks was loose(something that was not being worked on at the time).
When I had another problem, they told

I have been very happy with Angler Automotive. Kirk seems like a straight shooter and will be honest about what's wrong with your car, what the priorities are to fix, and what it will cost.
My vehicles are always done when they say they will be, and the estimate is always accurate.
On more than one occasion, they have told us that something didn't need repair or replacement, even though we were expecting and bracing for the worst.
These days it seems like most mechanics will try and rip you off for every needed and unneeded repair. I feel like Angler is honest, and that goes a long
