I'd like to introduce myself. Tom Marshall. I am an ASE Certified Mechanic. I have been keeping cars on the road for 30 years. I have worked diligently, through schooling and personal training experience, to advance in knowledge and skill in the automotive repair field. I have worked in several different shops in Whatcom county.

Avoid this place at all cost if you're a minority.They do very bad, malicious things to your vehicle. I had to take my vehicle to an honest reputable establishment to get the very same repair done correctly. I'll never, ever take my vehicle there again.

Nearly 2 quarts of "overfilled dirty transmission fluid" I had to syphon out the very next day.... is NOT a LIE.... !
Adjustments to the transmission that were paid for, but NOT made,...is NOT a LIE.....!
And I still have the PROOF...!
I paid good money for "Professional" work,...but I got professionally screwed

I took my 99 Expedition here to get ball joints, upper control arms, and wheel hub/bearings replaced. They did a great job and when I was paying they let me know it would be about $200 less than what they had quoted me. Aside from that they also noticed I had a small oil leak and quoted me a fair price to get that taken care of. They said they would have fixed it then and there if it wasn't over my budget which i thought was very cool because they were wanting to do more than What was asked yet kept in mind the price we agreed upon. Some other shops might have done the repair regardless if it exceeds

Excellent service and staff are helpful and very personable. Diagnostic synopsis immediately upon their inspection! They tell us what is wrong, price, and estimated time of repair! We’ve taken our vehicle there whenever issues occur. We rely on them and know they will provide us with the best service for our vehicle. As always Tom and Kris at Birchwood Auto are exceptional . Need two cars done today for oil changes are they were able to get it done along with their already tight schedules. They have done all of our mechanical needs from day one and I won’t let anyone else touch our vehicles for any type of maintenance work on our vehicles unless we breakdown out of town (which we have never done) so again thanks Birchwood Auto for prompt exceptional services!!!!

Great experience! They worked hard to get the parts needed to fix my truck. They went the extra mile to find replacement parts for my lift kit that is discontinued. They explained in detail what they were doing. PLUS it was very affordable. I will definitely be going back.
