NPHC was founded out of love for children who are emotionally and behaviorally challenged as a result of reasons they could not control. The past 2 years working with you has been amazing. I have grown to be a much better person emotionally, maturely, and spiritually than I ever imagined I could or would. I never thought that I could say that I like the person I am and dare I say I do. I still have struggles but with your help I know that I can overcome them and I thank you so much for that.
Our Outpatient Mental Health Services are designed to be Preventative as well as Therapeutic. In 2001, Johnson and Lola Owoyemi shared a vision: a single place where clients could receive comprehensive mental health care. Acting on that vision, National Pike Health Center was founded as a clinic dedicated to offering behavioral health counseling to the children, adolescents, adults, and families served.
Referrals are accepted for our OMHC and PRP Mon-Thurs between the hours of 9:30am - 8:00pm. I tried to get my daughter in here during the quarantine, which has affected everyone’s mental health tremendously. I had to call them constantly to figure out when my daughter would be seen. It took them a month to schedule an intake appt after me calling all the time. Then no call again. I had to call them to schedule an appt with the psychiatrist before she could have an appt with the counselor. I waited a wk for that and called and they had to assign her to someone. I had to call them again, for the counselor to contact me. After two weeks still no call so I call back. Finally the counselor

Today, I was supposed to have a phone appt at 5:30pm. It is now 6:30pm. When I called at 5:47pm to double check if I had the right day and time, they said that I did not complete all of my paperwork. She double checked the file to realize that I had done everything on my part. She said that she would reach out to the therapist and I still have not received a call. This is supposed to be a place for people to go to get help to feel better. How can they do that when the establishment shows that they do not care, in the acts of not remembering your schedules, not being aware of the status of a patients

I have questions about the integrity of this establishment. What I have heard has been less than complimentary. I will hold further comment pending further investigation.

This is the worst place you could ever go to for therapy. The counselors are undereducated about the field, they don't show for appointments regularly, are regularly late, counselors socialize and talk about the quality of your hair and clothes instead of giving actual therapy, the staff is rude and unprofessional. The receptionist and therapist talk about your personal information amongst themselves and in front of Clients too. They joke around as if it's a beauty salon. Don't go here if you want good therapy.
