In 1990, a determined group of families launched Boca Ballet Theatre Company with little more than a dream. Two years later, they secured the services of Co-Artistic Directors Dan Guin and Jane Tyree, who brought a wealth of professional experience and a compelling vision for the future of the organization.
Kick off the holiday season with Boca Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker! Clara's dream unfolds as the Nutcracker Prince, Mouse King, and Sugar Plum Fairy all come to life in the sparkle of Co-Artistic Director Dan Guin's artistic vision. This unique version of the holiday classic will feature professional guest artists, breathtaking sets and costumes, and the iconic music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
BBT is seeking 6 male soloists to fill the roles of Harlequin, Nutcracker Prince, Spanish divertissement, Arabian divertissement, and Russian divertissements (3). Dan Guin, born in North Carolina, was trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Dan has used his background in ballet and jazz in concert and commercial work. His professional experiences include performing with Southern Ballet Theatre of Orlando, Florida, Lyric Opera Ballet of Chicago, Delta Festival Ballet, South Carolina Ballet Theatre/Ballet Michigan, and Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago.
The 2021-2022 schedules for the Children's, Student, and Open Adult divisions of the School of Boca Ballet Theatre are now posted, and registration is open! As an adult dancer, I really appreciate the classes at Boca Ballet Theatre. The teachers are excellent, and they cover levels from beginner to intermediate. Thais Harris in particular is a gifted teacher; she provides something different for each class while building on techniques or steps that she worked on in previous classes.

BBT is an amazing ballet school. My daughter has had a passion for dance since she was able to take her first steps. After a few years at another studio we decided to join BBT... a decision we should have made many years prior. The growth my daughter has shown is incredible. The instructors there know how to take each students weakness and make it a strength. We are ever so grateful to be apart of the BBT family.

The Boca Ballet Theatre is an absolute gem! With world-class dancers, gorgeous costume and set design, and a dedicated team focused on delivering quality performances, this is definitely worth checking out. They have amazing performances and offer ballet classes as well for people of all ages! Thank you for all you have done for ballet, Boca Ballet Theatre. Will definitely be back!
