For more than 15 years, German's students have regularly won top honors at regional and international ballet competitions and received scholarships to elite ballet schools across the country. Train to compete in National & International Ballet competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix, Universal Ballet Competition, ADCIBC, and the World Ballet Competition.

This place has a program for 8-11 to be put on pointe. That is not okay! Putting an 8 year old on Pointe is extremely dangerous and can have many long term consequences. No child should be on pointe prior to the age of at least 10 (and even some professionals feel that is too early). Long term risks of going on pointe too early include deformities or injuries to the feet, ankles, knees, and/or hips.

All of his good dancer are IMPORTED. They did not grow up under his training it was someone else.
German does not care about you unless you have the ballerina look or are a guy. I have seen hardworking talent walk through his door and he dismisses them because they do not fit into his vision of the ideal dancer.
Also, he is not transparent. If he does not want you in the studio he will decline giving you privates in front of everyone AND act apologetic.
He DOES have amazing staff, except they only teach 1x to 2x a week...

Absolutely love this studio! I have been training at this studio since it opened and I feel like I have grown and improved immensely. The environment is wonderful and caring. All the teachers, including the director who I have known since I was younger, really focus on the technique and quality of their dancers.

I am taking this opportunity to give my personal recommendation of Mr. German Dager, Director and Founder of The Fort Lauderdale Youth Ballet. My daughter has been enrolled in the Ballet Level 1 program; during… the time my daughter has attended Mrs. German and his teachers have managed to provide an integral and outstanding training. He possesses the strength and positive qualities to guide his students to success, and most importantly his dedication towards his pupils is sincere. FLYB is an amazing studio and all the teachers are wonderful and caring! All the teachers focus on your technique and quality of your dancing, which is very important, and while doing this they push you to be the best dancer/ballerina you can be. I came to their 6week intensive and I loved everything about it, and now I am going to be coming year round! The studio is very clean and the staff is excellent!

Mr. German Dager is EXTREMELY SPECIAL! One could not ask for a more professional, loving, kind, and a master ballet instructor. My daughter began under his direction at five and he continues to be in her life… as a young woman. Under his tutelage he not only encouraged her ability, she placed in the Top 15 in classical ballet (as well as won the highest medallion, in both both classical and contemporary) at the ADC international competition, earned full scholarships to ABT-NY summer intensive, The Royal Ballet (London), The Bolshoi (Moscow), The Rock (PA) , Gelsey Kirkland (NY) , Miami City
