We are a diverse dance company located in the DMV area, founded by Nusrat J. Umi, who has been dancing from a very young age. We started this company to share our passion for dance and for others to join us on our journey. We focus on growth of our dancers and clients through training and giving them an opportunity to perform and showcase their talent.
We don't just focus on performing, but also enjoy collaborating with other talents in the community and making dance videos for our Social Media platform. Each of our instructors focuses on different styles of dance such as Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Bollywood/Bollyhop, Urban, and Tap. In other words there is a place for everyone.

I’ve been dancing with Umiverse since it’s inception and it’s honestly the best thing that’s happened to me! The instructor and the dancers are the warmest people ever that make it an absolute safe space for creativity to flow through. I’ve gotten to learn so many dance styles and perform at multiple events which has been so much fun. I’d recommend this dance company 10/10!

Umi and her dance team was beyond incredible, amazing and super super talented!!(: We booked them for our wedding reception to perform for 10-15 minutes and they brought so much energy, passion and jam packed entertainment for us and our guests. They even did an interactive session with our guests and us, which was so fun (teaching us how to dance). Our event was running late, but they patiently waited for their part and was able to condense everything. We loved it so much and was vibing with them the whole time. They’re professional, responsive and friendly. I live in Virginia and they traveled

Super talented and amazing dance group!! They make sure the crowd is hyped up and their interactive session is amazing to get everyone involved! Would definitely recommend this crew for any occasion! Thanks Umi for also choreographing our first dance at mine and the wifey’s big day! She drove more than a hr to our house for private sessions and went above and beyond our expectations! Everyone is amazing and super knowledgeable 😊

I haven’t danced in so many years and after taking the Bhangra Fusion class, let me tell you I’m so motivated to continue dancing with Umiverse Dance Studio. During the quarantine I have been taking their virtual classes and its super easy to follow along and fun. The instructors are fun, energetic and engaging. I highly recommend this taking their dance work shops and classes.
