Chronic condition management can be challenging for both patients and their care providers. Red tape, paperwork, and communication gaps hijack the time that providers could be spending on patient care. Confusion, unanswered questions, and financial barriers cloud the patient experience. Patients and providers ranked BioPlus the #1 specialty pharmacy in two surveys by Zitter Health Insights.
Provider shares how BioPlus customer service mirrors the excellent customer service provided by her office. Patient shares how BioPlus helped ease his worries after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and HCV.

Services
This means that our patients and providers can count on 'fast and easy' through every specialty medication referral, fill, and refill. When we receive a referral, our admissions team immediately contacts the patient's insurance company about their plan's pharmacy benefits. We're then able to tell the doctor's office within 2 hours if we can fill prescription.
A specialty medication is different from what you would normally pick up from your local retail pharmacy. There are a few things you might want to know about specialty vs. regular prescriptions. Before your treatment can begin, there are some forms you'll need to sign. You can fill them out electronically right here on this website, or download and print them to fill out by hand.
You'll never have to chase down answers to your important questions or resources to learn more about your medication or condition. Through each step of your journey, you get personalized emails and text messages that explain the ins and outs of your treatment plan and how you can see the best possible results.
Good care shouldn't be out of reach because of the price. We partner with public nonprofit foundations and drug manufacturers' programs to help you afford your high-cost medication. Now, you have an advocate to help make sure your prescriptions are accessible for as long as you need them. A dedicated financial counselor will contact you to explain each program's details, including coverage and copay costs.
A nurse concierge will personalize and coordinate your care, guide you through your therapy, answer your medication questions and help you stay on track with your care plan. In 2020, BioPlus patients received an average of $8,000 in financial assistance from outside sources to reduce their out-of-pocket treatment costs.

BioPlus is an outstanding company. Every one of our experiences with them has been flawlessly executed.
From start to finish, everything is done with one single goal in mind....patient satisfaction. Every delivery or telephone call is performed by a staff of caring professionals.
The BipPlus folks are unique in this world of fast talk and computerized care.
It's refreshing to deal with people who care about you FIRST. They actually take the time getting to know you and your personal situation. They have no issues if you require a little extra help navigating the system.

I have had a few problems already and I have been a patient there for less than a month. Firstly, I spoke to a lady who scheduled my second medicine delivery for a Friday at my work place. When there was no delivery for me I decide to call them and ask. Well apparently there was a copay I had to pay that my insurance wasn't covering, well that copay was over $300!! Which confused me b/c the doctor had mentioned a very low copay for my medicine, if any at all. What makes me mad is that they didn't call me at all to let me know that I needed to pay. If I hadn't called them I would never had figured

Fairly lengthy initial process- set aside about 20 -30 minutes. But staff make the process easy and fairly straightforward. Do sign up far and “Zero Copayment “ options prior to calling - or be prepared to spend a hefty amount (depending on insurance.) overall- a good experience once my insurance agreed to pay for the med.

When I was diagnosed with a health issue that was going to require a specialty medication my doctor said that he was going to use BioPlus pharmacy because they are the best as far as approval time. He told me it would take 2 to 3 months to get my meds approved and shipped to me. It took about 3 weeks and the people at BioPlus have been amazing so far on this journey with treatment.
