These guys are the best. Once my warranty expired at Subaru I took my car directly to them. They've been maintaining it ever since. Whenever I've had an issue they have been amazing. We love Schmidty's! Great service, thoughtful customer service, and very honest employees. My husband and I have been coming here for a little while and won't take our cars anywhere else now. Came in for an oil change this morning. Even though the team was slammed, they hustled to have us in and out in just over an hour. The office is very comfortable and they were even willing to drive us home, but my little one and I were happy to wait.

Took my car in for a wheel alignment. It was in Schmidty's Garage all day.
They call to tell me I have engine problems and it will be $800. Don't know why they were looking at my engine when I asked for a wheel alignment and asked them to just do the alignment.
After paying $300 and 30 minutes driving away from Schmidty's, my car wheels are shaking again.
Do not know how they are in business.

Goodness gracious, I am amazed by the service at this place!!! I literally have never had such a pleasant experience. I arrived at my appointment time and was immediately greeted by the front desk. I told them exactly what I needed - an oil change and full inspection because I was driving this car to northern california to get rid of it. They kept costs low and the service was super fast. I will come back for any car needs in the future, if you don't wanna get swindled/overcharged, come to this place!

I don't really know what to say, because I don't know where to start! Schmidty's has worked on my cars a number of times -- and EVERY TIME I am impressed and leave feeling good. They always seem to go the extra mile with their service! Like the time they had trouble getting to the bottom of what was wrong with my son's 2002 Camry -- it took them a few extra days to figure it out and get the problem resolved, but they gave my son a loaner car, with no extra charge for the loaner (the actual cost didn't veer from the estimate, other than the cost of the additional part they determined we needed)

Shane there helped to pick a good tire for the new truck, the stock 20in wheels and tires ride pretty rough, the new Yokohama tire (18in 12.5x33in size) and wheel combination rides so much better and this combination has already proven their value already with two comfortable trips to the SF bay area already. (The Chomer wheels are OEM 20's , the Gray/Black wheels ar 18in and improve so many aspects of the ride quality...

I have been going to Schmidty's Garage for almost three years now... I first came in with an emergency repair when I first moved to the area (oil filter had been removed from my car). My mom was extremely concerned about me getting ripped off as a single, young woman so she called around and landed on Schmidty's. Late Friday afternoon I have a fishing trip leaving 5am tomorrow morning and my rear tire has a nail in it. The only thing that can ruin me is if I wake up to a flat tire. I went to Big O, American and a few others none would help. I remembered my daughter went to school (HCS) with the owner's kids and decided to give them a shot.
OMG, the nicest people ever! They actually cared. Told me they would fix me up no problem. Halfway through I remembered I was due for an oil/filter change they said they were out of time...then thought... and said "No problem, happy to do it".

Great shop... Way bigger than it looks, i think he owns the whole lot. Got maintenance done on a few work trucks/vans. One vehicle got a tune-up wiper blades changed all the little odds and ends I think he changed 11 light bulbs and charged me a few dollars each some of them were really hard to get to. The other vehicle hadn't had service in a long time and the brakes were completely shot rotors and everything and the price was extremely reasonable. Literally half of what I paid the last place. I also got my little electric smart car some maintenance hadn't been done since I bought the vehicle

I only give four because I really have no clue about anything when it comes to car maintenance. So maybe they deserve five or three in terms of what they did to my car. I have no idea.
What I do know is everyone was crazy friendly and I got a ride back to my car when they were done, and I had the BEST conversation with one of the mechanics who said HE LOVED WORKING THERE. It's a happy place and when your car is being a little *(#*)%, it's a mental boost to be surrounded by good people.

Besides the overall value of the multitude of repairs I needed, two additional things stuck out to me: educating the customer and friendly customer service.
First, regarding educating the customer, after evaluating my car, Dave called me and explained what needed to be done and why. I don't know too much about cars, and Dave was patient when I asked follow-up questions. These guys rock. I’ve been going to them for the past five years and have had nothing but good experiences. They’ve done everything on my vehicle (old, rusty van) from stubborn fuel filters that were rusted in place, suspension bolts that didn’t want to come off, troubleshooted a number of engine issues and always stand behind their work. Everyone at the front counter is professional and nice. I’ve even had an entire engine swap done by them and they said it came with a three year warranty. Something went wrong within that time period that somehow damaged the new engine and they did another

Update: had a noise coming from rear wheel after the work was done and drove it back. Also my transmission had stopped shifting into 3rd. They fixed the problem with the wheel noise at no charge and ruled out potential causes of the transmission problem coming from outside the transmission. I'm bummed that i have to go get a rebuilt transmission again but the shop did a good job of diagnosing the problem and they did it fairly quickly.

Took my 2004 Chevy Silverado in to have the brakes done and got a call that it also needed a new center bearing and U-joints for the driveshaft. Since the truck has nearly 150,000 miles on it I agreed to having the work done. While driving the truck home after the work was done all seemed fine. However on the next day I had to drive on the freeway and noticed a vibration that wasn't there before. I called them up the next day and without hesitation they said bring it back in.
