How much does it cost to get a trademark application on file and how long will it take to get the filing done? I charge a flat fee of $325 to do a trademark "knockout" search and filing in the patent office for a one class trademark. There is also a trademark filing fee of $350 for the one class.
There are extra fees if you want the trademark to cover multiple different kinds of things, since each thing you want to cover may be classified in a separate class.See the FAQ below about trademark classes. If the trademark office agrees that the trademark should be accepted, and you have filed based on actual use of the trademark, then there will be no additional costs.

Protect the Ornamental Features of Your Product, Computer User Interface or Computer Icon. Design Patents are easy to apply for, and inexpensive. We charge $900 + filing fees (typically $280 if you qualify as a "micro entity") + fees for the drawings if you can't do them yourself (typically $350-400) for filing.

What a pleasure it was doing business with Scott Harris, IP Law. Simply put, Scott is the real deal.
Think about all of the hurdles you encountered when developing your idea into a patentable invention. If you are like me there were many, and for the most part, there was no one but myself to figure it out.
Then comes the patent process, and dealing with the USPTO. I had so many questions, and recognized quickly that I needed help, but was afraid of the opportunist that are ever-present, and ready to pounce.
My research into finding a credible patent attorney kept leading me back to Scott Harris

I worked with Scott Harris to file my provisional patent. Our initial phone conversation was very informational and without any pressure. I am new to making an invention and knew nothing about the process, yet he was supportive and simply gave me all the information I needed and asked for without me ever feeling like I wasn't important or a waste of his time. After our initial call, he immediately sent me an email with all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. He also gave me his advice on additional options and let me know what wasn't worth my money to do, saving me a lot of

I've been using Scott's services for many years, both as a patent attorney and as a trademark attorney. I have found that he really knows his business. He has really come through for me on multiple instances. He has had 100% success getting my IP granted, and his fees have always been reasonable. He does what he says hes going to do, and he does it timely.
I give him my highest recommendations.

I came to Scott Harris, IP Law after being with a large firm in Irvine, Ca who nearly bankrupted my business in legal fees. I was wanting to apply for a patent and was unsure of the process. The previous firm billed on billable hours and any question or fragment of a minute cost me money.
When I called Scott in 2017, it was a relief to hear his flat rate pricing that was reasonable and fair for both parties. I knew I was in good hands with Scott when I would ask questions; he was patent, through in explanation and clear on what it would cost. When I shared what I wanted to patent he did his due

This lawyer can't be trusted. I hired Scott Harris to apply for a trademark and payed him in advanced. When uspto finally responded to the trademark they sent Harris multiple letters which he ignored and didn't notice me or did the corresponding follow up, and all this after he specifically told me to wait for them to respond and that he will give us the proper follow up only after they responded. When I approach him about it, he lied and created a fantasy version, confusing us with other cases he had and basically fabricating excuses to not admit his errors and lack of efficiency. When I read

I’ve known Scott Harris since 2005 when he was at a big name IP Law firm and I’ve stayed with him after he left and formed his own firm. We using Scott when I was VP of Engineering at a consumer electronics company. At the time we had one granted patented by our old attorney. After that patent our old attorney billed us for “reviewing” our portfolio every month. One patent was costing us $600 a month to be reviewed. That was when I switched we over to Scott who has never billed us for reviewing our portfolio.
At that company we used Scott for some 26 applications over two years with 16

I just received my patent, all because of Scott. If you are looking for a no non-sense brilliant attorney, who will not waste your money and not waste your time, Scott is your IP expert! Do not think twice about hiring this man. I have never met a more honest and hard working attorney than Scott. I can guarantee that you will not waste one dollar or one minute if you choose to hire him. I did not start out with Scott, I went to a "famous" IP law firm, $25K later I had nothing but promises, attorney bills and no progress. 2 years later, when the fancy firm asked for more money I have had enough
