Our vision was born when our father won an international tailoring competition in the 70's and was offered a position with the famed Hickey Freeman Clothing House.

Michael is the Best. I have been going to him for years for custom shirts and suits. Recently he was tasked with making me look like James Bond for my wedding in a custom made midnight blue tux with black lapels. Cant tell you how many compliments I got on the tux at the wedding. Quality customer service. I worked with Mark who was exceptionally skilled and extremely adept at knowing what styles would look good on me while giving me exactly what I wanted. I can't tell you how many complements I received the night of my wedding. Add in the extremely tight timeline I gave them, and these guys absolutely knocked it out of the park. I'll definitely be back for work attire in the near future.

I had 3 suits I needed to get tailored, I called ahead to ask if they tailor non Michael Duru brand suits and was informed it'd be no problem. I was recommended to come here by a highly regarded peer I work with in NYC. I walked in the store and was instantly treated with respect from an older gentlemen. I was taken to a changing room and changed into my first suit. I was very excited to have alterations made to my suits and pick out a new suit.
The tailor (a bald fellow, never introduced himself) came up and seemed really annoyed to be taking measurements. He made it seem as it was a chore

Went to Michael Duru Clothiers this weekend for a new suit and worked with Matt Duru. I decided to go with a custom suit and Matt was extremely helpful with walking us through the process and made some great recommendations.
As a follow up, I received my suit and absolutely love it. The quality is fantastic and wear it whenever I have the opportunity. Following my suit purchase I have also bought additional custom shirts and worked with Josh. Josh is extremely helpful and service is first class.

How have I lived in Monmouth County for this many years and never knew about Michael Duru Clothiers in Shrewsbury. For ANY guy in the area you have to check this place out. Michael Duru and his brother are truly amazing gentlemen and their staff are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people in the business.
I just purchased my first suit from them and am blown away. For those that think a clotheir shop is too expensive (like I did), you will be shocked at just how reasonable they are. Forget Men's Wearhouse, Jos A Banks, and even Brooks Brothers, and every other chain store out there

I had come here for some alterations, all with success, but a recent experience has me believing that the tailors here are miracle workers.
I had a tiny tear on a silk crepe dress (splinter on a wooden chair- from now on I eat standing up at places that have these). I thought it was simple enough to lightly sew the edges together so when I dropped off my dry cleaning I asked the dry cleaner (who will never see me again) to do just that. He made an absolute mess and it was exponentially more noticeable than it had been.
I brought it to the capable staff at Michael Duru and very emotionally pleaded
