The asbestos test was exactly what I needed. They expedited my results as requested and even provided the results verbally ahead of the report. My only gripe is I asked about how many samples were needed and was told it's based on size of residence and based on the size it was five samples. In the end the guy took 15 samples. Regardless I got what I needed and the helped expedite my request.

I've used JLM Environmental on two occasions at my home to inspect and test for presence of asbestos. Their customer service, expertise, promptness of test results were all exceptional. Everyone from the receptionist in the office to the inspectors onsite to the owner Jonathan are fantastic to deal with and give you utmost confidence through every step of the process. One of the contractors we were considering hired them to test our house per reno. They were quick and efficient. My only slight comment about them is that the company I used for actual removal told me that JLM was a little liberal in classifying things as P5. This seems to somewhat arbitrary and drastically raises prices for removal.

I called to make an appointment on Tuesday and they were ready to come out the next day, however, my schedule wouldn't allow it so JLM scheduled for Thursday. They called me twice to update me on arrival time, as the apartment is located in Alhambra and JLM is in Lawndale. When Joey arrived he got to work right away and was done in less than twenty minutes. Joey was personable and answered all the questions we had. He said he would bring the collected samples back to the office and that we would have the asbestos results on Monday. Two business day turnaround since they have their own labs

I would like to recommend JLM Environmental services to anyone who is considered any kind of construction on their home or commercial space. After calling around and seeing who would be able to come to my home and perform the tasks of taking samples of materials that we being considered to be removed. The scariest thing a contractor can tell you is, "I need you to test that for asbestos." A quick call to JLM and within 24 hours they had someone out to take samples and sent them off to their lab. They can have results within 2 business days, 1 if you pay for expedited testing. Regardless of how my tests turned out, I am pleased with the speed in which this company could get things turned over. Make sure you understand their pricing and how many samples will be required to accurately assess your situation- a lot of samples can really run up the bill.

I'm very disappointed with the accuracy and hope this is an exception for future customers relying on the accuracy of mold results and testing. I'm hoping this was a one off mixup of cavity and ambient air vials but I was expecting incredible accuracy based on reviews. I carefully chose a company to inspect and test for mold for a new home purchase before we opened walls or did any work for a known leak my inspector had found a month prior. I'm not a plumber nor am I an expert on mold but I have smelled mold before recognize the scent noted it and so did the prior owner and realtor

I used JLM Environmental services for an asbestos inspection on 9/8/21. Prior to booking the inspection, the customer service provided over the phone was pleasant and extremely helpful. They were very detailed with the explanation of their inspection procedures and sampling costs. Daniel was the technician that made it out to home. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with answering all my questions and concerns. Overall it was a great experience and I would strongly recommend JLM Environmental for any of their services.

We’re having our bathroom remodeled. We got city permits on Monday. On Tuesday our contractor contacted JLM Environmental to do testing for asbestos. On Wednesday a technician came out. He was friendly and professional. Today, Friday, I received a call from JLM’s customer service person assuring us there’s no asbestos. I had spoken to the delightful, professional woman before. My inspector was very nice and knowledgeable. He took his time and I felt he did a thorough job (I know nothing about mold inspection)
The report was long and somewhat confusing. Recommendations seemed a bit unclear and short winded (a lot of recommendations are "consult with contractor" .
Overall happy. $640 for inspection and 4 samples. Took 3 days for results.
Update: findings from JLM inspection were sent to a remediation company. Glad I got JLM to do an inspection/testing.

And inspector, Jon arrived on time, was very courteous and professional. He navigated the job with diligent attention to detail and documented problem areas in a precise and thorough manner. This is the kinda guy that has a very organized car trunk and closet at home. lol! He also shared some helpful unsolicited information

We needed testing for asbestos and lead done prior to renovating our home. We decided to contact JLM and schedule our appointment with them based on their response time and helpfulness with our questions.
