We remain open and available to answer any questions related to your estate planning needs. We are happy to set up a virtual meeting by conference call, video conference, or even using the Facetime or Skype applications on your phone. Much of our work can be done virtually. For the essential in-person meeting to sign documents, we are following the guidelines from the CDC.

I am an attorney passionate about helping clients keep control over their lives through documents that allow them to speak for themselves after they have become unable to do so, because of disability or death. The use of the Internet or the email contact form for communication with the firm or any individual member of the firm does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

Through working with us, we will help you identify how you want to live your life if you become disabled. And, who you want to assist you achieve the life you want. We will help you identify how you want to pass on your values after your death. Is your primary goal the protection of your family? Or, are you interested in contributing to your community through gifts to worthy organizations?
Wills alone do not provide enough protection for young families. While it is important to have a will, it will not protect your minor children if you or your spouse become incapacitated due to an injury, illness, or disease from which you may or may not be expected to recover. Young families may not want to consider such possibilities, but sound planning principles ask us to do so.
Blended families are increasingly common. The typical blended family consists of a couple, their children from any relationships, as well as children from their current union. Estate planning can help you and your spouse/partner take care of each other while also fairly distributing your assets between your children.
Many people consider their pets as part of their families. Most pet owners would not be happy to have their pet placed in a shelter, no matter how "good" the shelter may be. Taking care of someone else's pet requires a special kind of person.

It is important to check out any assumptions you may have that a close family member or friend will be able to easily welcome your pet into their life, are capable of meeting your pet's needs, and can afford the costs associated with your pet's care.
No one expects to become unable to take care of themselves. But it happens. Sometimes you are young and an accident on that motorcycle that seemed like such a good idea leaves you disabled. Or instead of simply dying after a long full life, you end up with physical or mental issues that leave you impaired for years.
