Services
The day gets started off right with breakfast at 8:30 am. Our cafeteria staff have been up early to fix some of your favorites--eggs, bacon, biscuits, and grits are among the most popular items. There's also a variety of cold cereal in case you're extra hungry. After breakfast, it's back to the cabin for cleanup.
South Mountain Christian Camp has a wide range of facilities to fit the needs of your group. Take a look at the itemized descriptions below to get an idea of what we have to offer, and check out our Frequently Asked Questions. You can view and print a map of the camp facilities here. Prices are listed at the bottom of the page.
Our pool facility includes a junior-olympic sized swimming pool, a small wading pool, and a large (4,400 square ft) picnic pavilion. The pavilion has men's and women's restrooms, changing rooms, cubbies for storage of personal items, five picnic tables, pool chairs, and a food service area with refrigeration.
These programs give students the opportunity to experience the design of nature first-hand through direct observation, role-play, and scientific experiments. It's all neatly packaged into a one-day field trip led by the SMCC staff, so that Students can Experience, Explore, and Discover Science for themselves!.
The Low Ropes Course activities are dynamic problem-solving challenges which are designed to teach your group key team-building lessons like cooperation, communication, trust, planning, and support. Supervised by our fully-trained staff, these activities will give your group a memorable experience that will be safe, fun, and educational too.

Our family visited the camp for the day with a larger group. This was our first time visiting.
We first enjoyed the playground and picnic area. There was a place for the kids to play a ball game, and lots of playground equipment. There was a gazebo, and a large covered area with picnic tables. The bathrooms were clean and accessable. The entire area was shaded thankfully!
We later went fishing in the pond. The fish weren't biting unfortunately, but the ducks were quite entertaining!
We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Found this camp while looking dor affordable overnight camps for my kiddos and was a little apprehensive since they don't have the greatest relationship with religion, but based on the reviews, vibes (called and emailed them- quick reeponses, informative and nice) and price- I went ahead and reserved their spots.
Fast forward to drop off day, which was super smooth and ended up having to make a Uturn to go right back afterwards bc we forgot to pack their "as needed just in case medications" and communication was top notch. They even communicated throughout the week and when we picked them up from

As soon as my daughter got in the car to leave the camp, she informed me that her cabin (#1) had bed bugs. I then called another parent who's daughter went to camp with my daughter and informed her. Mind you, Her daughter had a hundred plus bites all over her body when she was picked up from camp, and not one person called her and let her know that she had been biten by whatever that many times, nor did anyone at camp apply medicine on her during that week. That parent then went back to the camp and informed the director about the bed bugs. She was told that another camper had brought fleas into

DO NOT SEND UR KID HERE. Apparently they don't have a zero tolerance policy on kids being mean to other kids. Worst experience ever. My daughter had a great counselor but the woman who runs the camp was rude and told my daughter who has anxiety that she was "selfish" for wanting to go home. I didn't sign anything saying no refunds but was told by Charlotte that I did. She was extremely rude to me and refused to come to the office to speak with me in person and show me where I signed a part. I was told she would go to the board to see about a refund but refused to give me any information to contact
