Dr. Terry Ford, spent the last 23 years building his last clinic, Maplewood Animal Hospital, literally from the ground up. Maplewood became an extremely busy, thriving practice with over 6000 clients. After selling that practice, Dr. Ford wanted to open a new one with the same outstanding quality care, but with a more personal approach.
With that in mind, this new clinic does not have boarding or grooming facilities so that Dr. Ford can concentrate on what he does best - providing your furry family with the best veterinary care. Those clients who have used Dr. Ford know that his priority is his patients and not the bottom line or a big fancy building.

Best Friends Animal Clinic uses a proactive approach to provide your furry family with the best preventative veterinary care from the time they are puppies and kittens through adulthood and into the geriatric stage of life. Puppies and kittens require a series of vaccinations over a period of time starting at 3 weeks old until about 6 months of age for puppies and 3 months for kittens.

I went in as a walk in with baby kittens I was convinced wouldn't make it, they were fast, friendly, and compassionate...Dr.Ford talked to me and with his advice and help these kittens have thrived. The building itself was tricky to find using Google maps but easy to access once I stopped trying to use Google maps. It was clean and well organized. I would recommend Dr.Ford at best friends to anyone. He and his staff were very kind, helpful, and attentive.

I am amazed by Dr.Ford and his team. They truly care about my doggie. I’m so happy I decided to choose this clinic for Josey’s care, I have called so many times with questions and they hear me out and answer them patiently. Dr.Ford listens to you and takes his time to help you understand what’s going on. Every single recommendation I have followed and my doggie has done excellent. Their care is unmatched. Recently we had to put our 16 year old Shih Tzu to sleep. Dr Ford was amazing helping us decide how to proceed with our four legged family member that couldn’t tel us how bad he felt. He allowed us to stay with Bruce during and after to say goodbye. We had Bruce cremated. We received his ashes in a nice box with his name and a plaster paw print. Dignity for a pup that deserved it. Thank you Dr Ford.

We have a crew of 3 dogs that we have recently started taking to Best Friends. So far our experience has been amazing! I feel like they let us make informed decisions about the care of our pets instead of scare tactics to get us to spend the most money. They are very reasonable and have worked with us on multiple occasions when we had a pup needing care. Most of all we can tell they really love our dogs as much as we do which is absolutely necessary to us. Highly recommend this vet office!! They’ve got our business for life!
