Since 1970 Hellas Restaurant has been a proud cornerstone of the Greek Community in Tarpon Springs. Owned and operated by the Karterouliotis family, Hellas Restaurant heralds their rich heritage by producing a truly authentic and cultural cuisine. Items marked with an * are also suggested as Appetizers for $1.00 less. Scoop of potato salad under a bed of crispy lettuce, feta cheese, Greek olives, garden fresh onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, Greek peppers and oregano with our own special dressing. We were recently asked to pinpoint the date when the Tarpon Springs sponge industry really got going in a big way, and when the first large group of Greeks arrived in town. However, prior to those dates, the sponge business already had a good start in the area. Early sponge-fishermen for more than a half-century had been bringing their sponge catches to the Anclote Keys and Bailey's Bluff beaches to start the curing process.

We arrived for lunch on Christmas Eve! The restaurant is soo clean and colorful. We were waited on promptly Our waiter knew the menu well and made some good suggestions. The Gyro sandwich or platter is no joke, it is truly huge. We ordered them and ate two more meals off the meat at home. Delicious, fresh and tasty.
After we visited the area and walked around, we stopped into the bakery. Absolutely, gorgeous yummy treats. We also bought some in a variety assortment and were very pleased with these treats as well.

Went here recently with my family and loved it! We arrived around 2pm and were told it would be a 45 minute wait for a party of 9, as expected, but the staff jumped through hoops and got us in less than 15 minutes! We all were stuffed and decided to pass on the bakery, but everything looked aaammmaazzing! I highly recommend Hellas Bakery & Pita.

Koulourakia are the Best, we live on the east coast of Fl and when we visit family in Palm Harbor we always dine at Hellas and take goodie home, the Koulourakia are addictive. Everything in the bakery and restaurant are wonderful. My friends and family on the esat coast love when I make a trip to tarpon springs

We recently visit Hella's Bakery not once but twice. Every time we go on vacation to Tampa we make the drive over. We ate delicious cheesecake. My husband tried the Greek coffee on one occasion but found it wasn't for him. He also tried the Greek Pasta. The atmosphere of Hella's is welcoming. Love this bakery!
