The Carolyn Stokes Preschool is committed to an educational program for preschool children ages 3 to 5 based on fundamental principles of early childhood development.We believe that every child normally progresses through the same sequential stages in his or her emotional, social, physical and intellectual development; however, the rate of maturation through these stages is unique to the individual child.

The Carolyn Stokes Preschool has five large, bright and wonderfully equipped classrooms, which are contracted with the NJ Department of Education Preschool Initiative (formerly known as the Abbott Program). All classrooms have interest areas which are based on the Creative Curriculum, which believes that children learn through play.
Applications may be submitted throughout the year and children are accepted into the program when classroom space is available. If no space is available at the time the application is received, the child will be placed on a waiting list. A complete physical examination, signed by your child's physician, which includes a health history (noting existing problems and/or allergies) and an up-to-date shot record.
