I just saw some of these reviews regarding our customer delivery with our wonderfully effective and heavily discounted laser services and can only say that 1. Some of these names are not really our customers and worse the negative comments post twice under two different names which we can not find, 2. No one likes to pay a cancellation fee, however it’s required and people hate that we sometimes require it, and all professional businesses do, (some are waived based on case by case scenario ie. emergency, health, elements, traffic and sometimes just general flexibility), 3. Dr. Thomas & Mr. Keith are awesome! If you are looking for a professional and friendly place for laser hair removal. The prices are phenomenal and I love how they make me feel a part of the family. I don’t often make reviews but I’ve been two other laser hair removal offices within the DMV and Laser Essential has the best Laser for darker skin tones and/or people of color. I highly recommend this office!

I previously went to a hair removal place in Rockville that is now closed but it literally did nothing to me. I have very thick hair and I noticed a difference after the first treatment and it also helped the ingrown spot scars I had. other than it actually working I look forward to seeing Keith and Dr. Thomas! They are so kind I'm not sure what happened with everyone else but from my experience and what I've seen they're great.

Love Dr. Thomas. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough with her work, but I won't be returning here.
I was told one price over the phone, the same price when arriving, then when it came time to pay a different price out of left-field (not including what I added on). When I asked for clarity, the business owner got defensive and wanted to argue. I think there is some mental baggage he needs to unpack because asking a question should not trigger that type of attitude. I tried to have patience and work through the ambiguity, but ultimately it is never good business to be argumentative

Avoid at all costs. I read most of the reviews on Google and Yelp, and saw a lot of comments about how rude, dishonest and negative the male owner is. I decided to still give this place a try. After getting on the phone with the owner, and just as I was about to pay a deposit, he started being extremely agitated because I had the audacity to ask him how many sessions on average a person needs for the areas I want to do laser on. The man who works the front desk, Keith, is very rude and makes the entire experience unpleasant. He makes up his own prices on the spot, decides when to charge random late fees based on how he feels, and has a judgmental attitude. I really don’t understand why he works in the service business. I was a loyal customer for over 1 year and I am so disappointed on how I was treated at the end. If you’re picking this place based on price, it is NOT worth it. You’re better off going somewhere that is slightly more expensive and has respect for their customers.

Poor customer skills, and communication with customers. Requested full payment for 10 treatments up front. I was told by owner to pay half now, and remaining after 5th treatment.
Today, was my second treatment. I was told by Keith not to come back unless I had the rest of his money. I only received 2 treatments and paid for 50% of services I can’t complete. When I first came to this place I was inclined to like it. The people that work there are nice, and they gave me a great deal on doing 6 full leg laser hair removal sessions. I definitely learned a lesson in you get what you pay for!
I did 6 full leg sessions and barely saw any results. I did laser hair removal before on 2 other body parts at a different place and saw incredible results after 4 sessions and didn't even need 6. I purchased 6 sessions and unfortunately all my hair grew back within 6 months to a year. I delayed my review to see my results first. I did enjoy working with Dr. Thomas but unfortunately Keith was another story :( I just don't think he has the right personality for a customer service role. He was argumentative and defensive with me when I asked him simple questions that customers ask. And Dr. Thomas jumped to take his side when I approached her about the situation. I came across Laser Essential through the reviews on Yelp. The facility was closer to me (Silver Spring, MD) and the prices were reasonable. I called and spoke with Dr. Thomas who is one of kindest and sweetest individuals. She walked me through the process, what to expect and their appointment policy (calling 2 days before the desired date). Following the instructions, I called and spoke with Keith who was very pleasant and put me down for a Saturday afternoon session. Unfortunately, I had a pretty decent experience for the exception of two encounters; the first when they had a flood and the facility didn't seem up to code to still service clients in a proper environment. The 2nd when attempting to reschedule my final appointment after never missing or being late to an appointment they made me feel extremely uncomfortable and were very unprofessional/rude to the point I decided to forfeit my last appointment. Also, he doesn't utilize gloves when using the laser around private areas. My recommendation is to pay a little more for better service.

I usually don't leave reviews, but i had to because I'm too pleased with the final outcome. I just finished 6 sessions with Keith. I had full Brazilian, my stomach, and underarms done. Before starting treatment, I had ingrown hair scars and discoloration in all 3 areas (from years of waxing). I shared my concerns with Keith before my first session and he guaranteed that there would be improvement. Today, I don't have a single ingrown hair and the discoloration has completely disappeared (with the help of exfoliating and skin care). I no longer grow hair on my underarms and stomach

I've had several appointments here spanning over 2 years. This rating is more of a reflection of the extremely poor customer service and not so much of the laser services. As the part owner/owner of the company, Keith has a very poor attitude and is very argumentative, combative, and lacks good customer service. He gets defensive when asked a question (i.e. why a price has gone up since a prior visit) and does not know how to speak to people respectively. His demeanor is very unsettling and at times, inappropriate. Overall, this is exactly why I no longer go to Laser Essential and do not reccomend

I will never go anywhere else for laser treatment! Top notch customer service and terrific results. I had laser hair treatment with the YAG laser years ago and walked away burned and with literal welts on my face. This has never happened at Laser Essential! I prefer when Keith does my full face and under arm treatments because he's so funny, but both specialists are amazing. Give them a try, especially people of color. You will not be disappointed.

After moving from Boston to Maryland, I was searching for a laser facility for months. I am so thankful I came across Laser Essentials website just looking on google. The facility is super clean, smells amazing and Dr. Thomas and Keith are both so welcoming, professional and informative. I began receiving treatments to my face in September. When I began Dr. Thomas also reccomended that I start using a new face wash that would be better for clearing up acne and dark spots on my skin. Fast forward to today my skin is already showing a marked improvement!! Mainly the hair growth under my chin is gone and my skin is much more clear and bright. I have had a great experience with both doctors so far!!

When Keith called me I expressed to him what are I was interested in getting laser hair removal under my arms and asked if I could schedule a consultation. That was the first red flag that I should have just hung up the phone. He was very abrasive and unprofessional over the phone. He reluctantly gave me an appointment.

When I went in for my first session, they had me wash my face to clean the area, lasered my upper lip about 3-4 times and a cream was put on me as Dr. Thomas informed me about taking precaution after treatment.
For my second visit, it was a similar routine except they lasered about 8 times, going through my upper lip area more thoroughly.
For my 3rd visit, they didn't have me wash my face, Keith literally just did 3 laser zaps and had me leave without the cooling ointment Dr. Thomas usually put on.

Went here for a 6 visit package of underarm & leg hair removal. 6 weeks after completing the treatments I'm back to about 70% of my original hair growth (the best results I had during treatment were about 50%). Not sure if it was the equipment or my hair (I'm Portuguese - Italian but have fair hair and light complexion). That said, the overall experience was okay. Dr. Thomas was always super nice and told great stories which helped take my mind off the zapping :)
