Dr. Robert E. Luckey is a board certified optometric physician. He is a proud graduate of Nova Southeastern University (Class of 2002), and has practiced in both a large ophthalmology practice and private optometry practice. Dr. Luckey's experience includes two externships in ocular disease at large ophthalmology practices.

Peter is the best! The entire staff is pleasant and efficient. It's always by appointment so you are not rushed and you don't feel like you are in an assembly line like some chain eyeglass stores. The decor is modern, comfortable and always very clean. The eyeglass selections are ample and there is a great variety. They're the best so call early because they book out far... like any good establishment.

It is difficult in today's world to find a company that still believes in valuing people and that grasp the understanding of the economic value of a customer. Luckey Eye gets it and you feel that way from the time you walk in and it's consistent throughout your experience. I am relocating and will never see another doctor. We will return annually to be seen only at Luckey Eye. I highly recommend Luckey Eye.

I wondered into Dr. Luckey office because it is close to my office. I could not have found a better Optometrist if I had done a web search! His staff are great, the office is comfortable. I have seen him for prescription eye wear but also for a medical condition, Dry Eye. He created a comprehensive plan to manage my dry eye that made sense. I do not have complete releif yet but am confident that he will help me get there. Dr. Luckey explains things thoroughly and so I could easily understand the underlying causes of my condition which has increased my committment to following the protocol

We just moved to Florida from NJ and were looking for a new eye care office for the whole family. We absolutely love this office. From scheduling the appointment to seeing the doctor to getting our glasses, the entire process was easy and enjoyable. Office staff is very nice and the new modern office is great. We came during covid and felt extremely safe. They also made my kids crack up with their jokes!

I had such a pleasant experience at Luckey Eye Care! They were extremely friendly and helpful. They explained the "extras" and why they recommend them without being pushy. When I said I just couldn't afford the extras they didn't push any more or make me feel bad about it. It took less time then quoted for the glasses to be ready and I hit traffic on my way to pick them up. When I called they accommodated me by staying a few mins after to wait for me. I wasn't rushed and I was taken care of by a still happy staff even though I was inconveniencing them, and on a Friday night

I don't personally wear glasses or contacts, so most of my life I never had need of eye doctors. When my son started having vision issues a few years ago I had a lot to learn. My wife wore contacts, but she just did what was most economical and/or simple. Our son has Asperger's, so we (have to be) are very picky about his care providers. After fairly extensive research, we chose Luckey EyeCare.
It's several years later, we're still with Luckey, and can't foresee that changing unless we have to move far away. My wife now goes to them as well.

I read the great reviews on Yelp and elsewhere, and I was long overdue for an appointment to have my eyes checked. I called weeks earlier to make an appointment. It took a number of calls as their system was always saying it was outside of normal business hours, but the reviews were great so I kept trying.

The cost for my eye exam was more than any other place that I have been, even with my insurance. The doctor never mentioned multifocal contact lenses. I was told that my only two options were to have a prescription for one eye for near vision and one eye for distance (which made me nauseous) or to have a prescription that meant that I would still need glasses to read. I wasted all of the money that I spent here because I had to go to another doctor to get an accurate prescription. I spent less on an eye exam with the new eye doctor using no insurance than I did at Luckey Eye Care.

This was an excellent visit! Normally, I am very skeptical about new doctors, especially when it comes to my eyes. The doctor was very knowledgeable and the staff was so friendly. My contacts came in quickly but one of the boxes was the wrong prescription. The staff re-ordered the new box and went above and beyond to get a fix for me while I wait for the new one to come in. I was also able to sit down and have someone explain how to best use my vision insurance since I wear contacts normally but needed to get a new pair of backup glasses. Wonderful visit all around!
