Tucked away in a quiet valley in central Pennsylvania lies a whole world of fun and memories. Knoebels Amusement Resort is found in Elysburg right off Route 487, and offers festivity for the entire family. Parking is free at Knoebels, admission is free, as is entertainment. The "Crystal Pool", which does have a low admission charge, draws many swimmers and sunbathers to Knoebels.

There are two giant waterslides within the pool area. For roller coaster enthusiasts, "The Phoenix" now housed at Knoebels originally was built for a San Antonio amusement park. Over 3200 feet of track and a thrilling ride have ranked The Phoenix as a top ten roller coaster. There is an 18 hole Miniature Golf Course on the grounds for your fun and pleasure all at a nominal fee.

Be sure to stop by and say hello to Curt, Lori, Barbara, Brianna, Aleaha and Carissa. Stop by the cree-mee-freeze across the street which has been family run since 1959 and say hello to Sherri, Dave, Jansen and Autumn. The campground you see today started out as 50 acres of farmland which we planned and developed into a campground people come back to year after year.

We've been here twice and it's a nice camp ground. I think the price is good. Love that it has water and sewer hook ups. The wifi can be patch, which is annoying but I mean we're not here for the wifi.

Of all the campgrounds I have stayed....J&D is by far one of the best. It is very relaxing and I love the closeness to alot of stores, activities,Cree Mee freeze ice cream stand and knoebels. They take a lot of pride and care in this campground.

We stopped by to play some mini golf to kill an hour. The course could use some sprucing up, but for only $2 per person it is a great bargain and we had fun. If you want to plan a second game it's only $1 per person!

Some reviews complained about how strict the rules are. We thought that was the best part. 10pm it is dead quiet. Which is nice with the kids trying to sleep. Clean park with nice employees and a great location. Only "complaint" would be the sites are pretty small.

This was our first time at J & D Campground. It is clean, grounds well maintained, and, the staff always friendly and helpful. The kids really enjoyed it. Very convenient location. To top it off, Cree Mee Freeze right across the driveway has both a good menu and ice cream.
We will definitely be back.

I hesitate to write this review, but my motives are selfish. I want to keep this campground all for ourselves! We stayed a month and loved every minute. The site was big enough, everything was clean and well maintained. All the staff smiled and waved as we went past. The close proximity to Knoebels Amusement Park and the beautiful countryside all around allowed for a relaxing and exciting stay. We can’t wait to come back!
