Services
The Blue Ridge Motel, operated and owned by Blue Ridge Hospitality, LLC is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. Rates are based on single/double occupancy (1-2 people per room). Our rooms with two (2) double beds allow for additional guests per room, however there will be a charge of $10 per person (over the age of 12).
For those staying in the Schroon Lake & North Hudson, New York region or somewhere within the Adirondack Mountains, there are a tremendous amount of refreshing activities to choose from. You can hike the Santanoni Ridge, Dix Mountain Range, or the High Peaks, or just spend a day at one of our many attractions or shopping centers.
Guests can always start their day off right at Blue Ridge Motel's complimentary continental breakfast, but we know no vacation is complete without a little adventure. Follow the Adirondack Northway, I - 87 south to North Hudson, Exit 29. Turn right at the end of the exit, follow this road till you come to a T in front of Gokey's Outlet Stores. Then turn right on to US Route 9, go about 2 miles south. Blue Ridge Motel is on the right hand side of the road just past the "Town of Schroon" sign.
Since 1985, Adirondack Mountain and Stream Guide service's owner, Jamie Frasier, has been guiding here in the Adirondacks, and additionally in Alaska as a Guide and Packer. When he is not guiding, he keeps busy running Frasier Taxidermy. With growth over the years, Jamie now has a seasonal staff of over fifteen experienced guides.

We love everything about blue ridge motel. It was a cozy place, the room was big enough for my family, had a complimentary breakfast at their fancy breakfast corner. Tammy (owner/staff) was extremely generous, she was helping me to check in early because we were running late, she was checking on us either we were okay or not when we get there. we gonna come back for a winter trip

My fiancé and I stayed here for a night and the only thing bad I can say is I wish we could stay for another day. This place is so cozy, charming and very clean. Tammy the owner is the sweetest!!! She was so helpful, very accommodating, down to earth and easy and fun to talk to. We will definitely be back for sure :)

Tammy is a amazing lodge owner, having a wonderful gem north of Schroon Lake and enroute to the north to hiking and gorgeous mountain views and rivers. We loved our room, which was clean and cozy. She offers a breakfast with the room which has something for everyone. It was delicious. We loved our stay and will return.

What a diamond in the rough! We made reservations to stay here during Americade and don't regret it! Updated rooms, quiet surroundings, excellent service from the owner Tammy. She was super helpful! The rooms are very clean and updated. I wish the showers were bigger, but don't we all? I will definitely come back again. If you need a nice, quiet, clean place to stay, book a room now! You won't regret it!

The owner of this lodge was very friendly and accomodating. Very pleasant surroundings with a feel of wide open space. We stayed in the newly renovated Serenity Room and was not dissapointed. Beautifully done and a bed so comfortable, you wont want to get out of it. Reasonably priced....will stay there again!!!

I highly recommend staying here! The customer service is excellent and the motel is very cute, recently redone and very clean. The continental breakfast is absolutely amazing! So many choices of food to choice from. There is a 4 person glider swing and and outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs outside to enjoy. You won't regret staying here! I will absolutely be back

Tammy is wonderful. We were only there a couple days, but we'll be back. The room was ready when we got there. Everything was clean and fresh. Was nice being able to grab coffee and a light breakfast before taking a stroll on the trails. Looking forward to seeing the place in full fall colors!! Oh and the dog had a good time too!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days to take photos and videos of the old jellystone park for the reopening. We loved our trip here, Tammy (the owner) was so sweet to us. I definitely recommend the Blue Ridge Motel if you come to Schroon Lake!!! Wish I could give 10 stars!!!! Thanks for a a great experience Tammy and everyone at the Ridge.

In a word: perfect!
We love the Schroon Lake area and it was too early to camp, so we decided on a weekend at the Blue Ridge Motel. The owner explained that when they bought the motel, it hadn't been updated in 30 years. So they gutted it and built it out fresh, and boy does it show!
Very clean in light of Covid - they use EcoLab hospital grade cleaners and take cleanliness very seriously. I noticed there weren't tissues in the room, and was told this is a rule due to Covid which they are following to the letter.
Decor is cozy Adirondack style, mattress was just-right firm, our dog

I've stayed there twice in the last 2 months and Tammy and Staff should be commended for doing a great job! The rooms are super clean and the cleaning staff is on point. There is a nice continental breakfast to start the day off right as well. If you are in the area to hike or hit the breweries the hotel is conveniently located and is a stones thrown from Schroon Lake and the Northway. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the North Country. Call the hotel directly instead of booking through 3rd parties. I'll surely being staying again in the near future.

All I have to say is Tammy, she is the owner and she is absolutely amazing. So very accommodating, and has really made something great out of this adirondack establishment. The rooms are cozy, water pressure is great, and beds make for a goodnight sleep. Tammy informed us, and a few other travelers about a great walking trail right near the motel. We walked down to the river and back, then we all got together for a traditional adirondack bonfire. Tammy was putting up her fall hay stocks, and there was plenty of fresh firewood. With all the negative reviews, I came here with low expectations. This is indeed, a dated cheap motel. And I am enjoying it! I opted for the cheaper not-yet-renovated room for $60 cash. The guy at the front desk was plenty friendly. There's cable tv, wifi, a mini fridge, microwave, and plenty of hot water. The room, while dated, is clean. This feels like luxury after what I just went through (a multi-day backpacking hike over rough terrain in pouring rain - completed my 11th 46er!). I could not spend another night in a wet tent, I was feeling quite downtrodden. I had very basic needs after

Quick run though: If your a light sleeper. Not the place. You hear everything in this place.
Owners are very very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and cheap.
WIFI is "usable" for being in the middle of the Adirondacks. Ample parking if your towing a boat. (Although no outside plugs available if you need to charge trolling motors)
The amenities are not the greatest:: Air conditioner in our room didn't work, just blew air from the fan, bed is uncomfortable, etc .....but saying that....its very cheap compared to the area hotels and if your just looking for a place

Full disclosure: This review is two years old. I am transferring my google reviews to yelp. I saw that the Blue Ridge doesn't have any reviews, and from my experience, I think they deserve one!
We chose this hotel for our weekend Adirondack trip bcs it was listed as pet friendly, and we were traveling with a dog. I can say with 100% confidence that we made a great choice! What a lovely place!
Warnings fair: the hotel recently (11/08) came under new ownership, so if you're planning on going there in the near future, be aware that the outside of the building is under the tiniest bit
