I loved it here! I was expecting something basic with a little view of the lake, but it turned out I had a massive, absolutely gorgeous view with a private patio area that had the lake and mountains front and center! The room/s are definitely more rustic but very spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly. I had to check in late and they made sure that I got in ok and everything was good in my room. I really appreciated that. Also, the kayaks were a treat. Thank you!

Name doesn't lie, there was definitely sand here and it's indeed golden. Beautiful views, a fire pit, free kayaking, your own grill and picnic area, wifi, what more could I ask for?
Room was clean. The lady who currently owns the resort is very nice and welcoming.
The fridge was spacious, decor is rustic and what I expect from lodging in the Adirondacks. The rose bouquet not included of course, that came with me. I stayed in room 19 which was the second closest room to the beach. You can hear the waves of the lake. Will definitely come back at some point.
