Dr. Jean Buhac established a dermatology practice in Saratoga Springs, NY, about 20 years ago to provide residents from Schenectady, Albany, and throughout the Capital District with access to world-class medical and cosmetic dermatology services. Before she became a renowned dermatologist in Saratoga Springs, NY, Dr. Jean Buhac actually considered pursuing a career in pathology and interviewed for a residency in that specialty. Ultimately, though, she believed that working in a lab wouldn't really feel like being a doctor. She spent about a year as a dermatologist at Albany Medical Center before opening Saratoga Dermatology in 1999.
When Saratoga Dermatology added a second board-certified dermatologist to serve its patients from Albany, Schenectady, and around Saratoga Springs, NY, they found the perfect fit in Dr. Jennifer Smith. Dr. Smith, a Mohs surgery specialist with an impressive track record of treating patients and teaching future dermatologists, joined our team in 2012.

Extremely unprofessional and rude front desk staff. The facials use to be great when Erin was there. Now they aren’t worth your time nor the money. It should be a relaxing experience but you are rushed in and out. It’s sad that they treat a loyal patient who has been coming to them for over 10 years with such disregard.

I have seen Dr. Buhac in the past and she was wonderful. Since then I have been seeing a PA and have not been Very happy. Every time I call the office I seem to get someone who sounds as though I am bothering them. I don’t call very often Maybe one or two times a year. I have had several billing problems as well but never made an issue about it. I just wish when I called I could get someone pleasant. I think I will be trying a new office.

Whether it’s acne or a more serous problem Dr Buhac has always been courteous, kind, and caring. She always fits me in if I have an emergency and has always treated me with compassion and respect. First time patient showed up 30 min before my appointment at 10am, receptionist ladies were very nice. The waiting room and patient rooms were very nice and homey feeling. Within 5 minutes of sitting down filling out paper work I was called in! I was shocked considering it was my first time there and I was early. The PA Bruce was very friendly! I was out by 1015 which was a record for any doctor appointment I've been too! Overall it was a nice visit and highly recommend Saratoga Dermatology to everyone!

My sons and I have all been patients of Dr. Buhac and her staff. We have seen her for everything from acne to skin cancer concerns to Botox treatments. In every way this practice has been attentive and reliable. My son suffered from terrible acne. We tried several treatments until we got it right. He is grateful to be acne-free! The staff was very friendly, cheerful and professional. Both the nurse and Dr Buhac took time to explain different options which were available to achieve the results I were hoping for and listened to concerns I had. Dr Buhac also took time to skillfully ensure filler was placed in the right amount in just the right places. I am in my sixties and when I look in the mirror now; I see signs of aging reversed with a more youthful natural appearance. I highly recommend Saratoga Dermatology and Medical Spa Dr Buhac and her team!
