I thought this taxi service was supposed to be decent! First off, why is it that everytime I call Clifton taxi to get a ride from my home in Clifton to Montclair State University??? I have always spent a ridiculous $20 For just a ride to Clifton to my school which is only 10mins from my house! I thought local was supposed to be cheaper! Those rides should be like $6-10! NOT $20 or 25 FREAKING DOLLARS. TODAY THEY DECIDED TO ADD $5 AND CHARGED $25 FOR TODAYS RIDE TO MSU!!! My suggestion is to reduce the price for local rides to $7-10 and stop setting ridiculously Crazy high prices to $20-$25 for

I call the cab and they take 20 minutes to come. I am pregnant. The car smells like they just smoked. Cigarettes and bud. They told me I had to pay up front. On top of that. Or I had to get out. So now I’m here stranded and waiting on another company. The service was awful and unprofessional. On top of that it was not even a taxi car. It was a mini van. Please just call another taxi service. It’s not worth it!

Beware of bait and switch pricing. I called them for a ride to Newark Airport. The website said the cost was $39.95 with a 10% discount for seniors. They showed up on time and the driver and car were fine. At the airport I was told the price was $55, because the ride was from Woodland Park, not Clifton. They knew this when I confirmed the price when making the reservation. In fact, the entrance and much of our gated community is Clifton and a block from our house it switches to Woodland Park. When I called the office from the airport they gave me no consideration for this and basically said "tough

Staff and drivers were very rude and unprofessional, on the phone and on the road. On top of that, driver pressed me with outrageous costs for a short trip, not sure if there even was a meter! There are other services that cheaper, more professional, and more worth your time.

I was working late at my job on Thursday night, when I left work I called my existing taxi company which they normally pick me up around 5 o'clock but that day they were unable to pick me up at 5:45 and stood me up. So I looked online and found Clifton Taxi and the dispatcher was very understanding and came to pick me up within 10 minutes. I was very thankful, and appreciative for their service.
