Blackburn-Curry Funeral-CRMTN
We are James and Shannon Curry, Licensed Funeral Directors and owners of Blackburn-Curry Funeral and Cremation. As a husband and wife team, we are here to guide our families through the worst time of their life. When someone experiences a loss, it's more than a business transaction. It's a life transition.

We are here to help you through that life transition because we care about your family. What we do is more than our job, it's our calling. Located at 380 N. Lowder Street in Macclenny, we are available 24 hours a day and can be reached by calling (904) 259-2806. Our funeral home offers both funeral and cremation options at an affordable cost without sacrificing quality of service.
Services
We may still be a new funeral home in our community, but we are not new to the funeral business. We have been Licensed Funeral Directors and Embalmers since 2002. Our experience with both corporate and independently owned funeral homes gives us a unique ability to provide care and service beyond expectation.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

It's not Blackburn-Curry, it's James & Shannon. They handled my Dad's funeral and managed to somehow make a bad situation seem a little better. When you first enter, it doesn't "feel" like a funeral home, it just feels like home. And meeting James & Shannon feels like meeting long lost family members. They truly do care about the people God places in they're life, long after services are rendered. They are compationate, caring, good Godly people. I'm glad they are now a part of our family.

There are not enough words to explain what a true blessing Shannon and James Curry at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Home were during the process of laying our loved one to rest. Our family was a true mess due to the sudden death of my son’s father. Shannon and James handled our loved one and the whole family with so much patience, care and compassion. We are all so grateful and appreciative of them both. I personally know Shannon from working with her in the funeral business in Jacksonville FL and she has always shown such love and support to all of the families she helps. Her and James are truly a

I can not say enough about James and Shannon at Blackburn-Curry. The first call I made I knew I wanted them to handle my dad's arrangements. They definitely have a special gift to serve others. They were concerned with every single detail of the process. They never pushed any high price items. In fact, they encouraged us to only do what we could do without causing any type of hardship after the funeral was over. They truly acted like family and had our best interest at heart. They took every question or concern with such grace. The day of the funeral was the hardest day of my life and we were able

I can’t say enough good things about these WONDERFUL people. When I knew my sweet little niece was not going to pull through her battle with cancer that James and Shannon would have to be the ones to take care of her. It really eased my sister and brother in law to know that their precious daughter would be so loved until we could get her home. I feel extremely blessed to have had James and Shannon in such a heartbreaking time. We love you both so much for all you did for our sweet girl.
