We strive to treat you like family. We want to offer compassionate service that goes "above and beyond" your expectations. We understand that the funeral ceremony is one that plays a significant role in our lives and that meaningful ceremonies do not just occur, they require guidance and thoughtful planning.
We take time to plan many of the special events in our lives, such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries to ensure that the event is just the way we want. Lately, more and more people are becoming involved with planning their own funeral. By planning your own funeral, you ensure the service is planned just the way you want it to be.
Funerals fill an important role for those mourning the loss of a loved one. By providing surviving family and friends with an atmosphere of care and support in which to share thoughts and feelings about death, funerals are the first step in the healing process. It is the traditional way to recognize the finality of death.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

I am not one to blast a company on social media but my anger is through the roof with Guerry Funeral Homes in Lake City, FL. My nana couldn’t even have a decent funeral without chaos.
They arrived late with her body the day of the funeral since Dylan at Guerry’s didn’t relay to the staff to be at the church at 8 am since the family viewing was to be at 9 am.
For her memorial book, we chose the one with the birds on the front since she loved birds but they gave us the wrong one and not the one we requested.
Lastly, this one makes me FURIOUS, the Friday before Nana’s funeral we dropped

During a hard time, Guerry Funeral Home made it easier. Professional staff, but also family oriented and it showed with all they do for your love one's arrangements and entire family. Would recommend them to anyone. On a side note, out of town guest said they had the best looking funeral directors they had ever seen. Thanks to the entire staff

There's no words to express how very thankful we are with the service we received with the entire staff at Guerry Funeral Home. During this heartbreaking time for our family I felt as if we we're the only clients they had to attend to. Brittnie Milton went above what I had ever expected. Each person I dealt with just gave me a sense of peace. Honestly, I feel they became part of my family. When you have to make this hard decision, believe me these people are the ones to call.
