Includes skin analysis and double-cleansing, salicylic acid exfoliation, therapeutic steaming, extractions, finished off with anti-inflammatory serums. Step-by-step instructional facial teaches your teen how to care for their skin, from proper cleansing to the importance of sunscreen. Includes reading materials.
Deirdre has been my esthetician for over 15 years. I've followed her from two locations in Berkeley to her current salon at the Alameda Beauty Center in Alameda Town Centre, where there is ample parking. In addition, the staff at the Beauty Center where she is located are knowledgeable, friendly and very service-oriented.

Deirdre has been our go-to esthetician for many years. She is thorough, patient, funny and talented. Her work space is always clean and beautiful, and she's great about walking you through whatever she's doing (facials, makeup, etc). I do not normally wear makeup, but my daughter was getting married and I really needed help with my face! Deirdre not only helped me with getting my skincare routine in place so that my face would be smooth and prepared for the makeup, but she applied the makeup so that it was naturally enhancing my features. I looked TERRIFIC in the photos! I felt confident that I was at my best self, not garishly made up or washed out. I highly recommend Deirdre for special events makeup.

I have been coming to Deirdre for the last few months, I feel so lucky to have found her! She is so sweet and really takes her time during her facials. Deirdre completely changed my skin (for the better!!!) When I first started seeing Deirdre, I was suffering from severe acne and bumps all over my face. After about 3-6 sessions, my skin was noticeably clearer, and after around 10-12 sessions my skin was completely smooth and break-out free. Not only did Deirdre use some of the best brands (murad, PCA, dermalogica), but she talked me through each step as she was putting masks/cleaners on my skin. I also enjoyed that she didn't use products that contained essential oils or scents, as they can be quite irritating for some skin types. The products

Deirdre is a professional, an artist, and an expert. I have been seeing her for over 10 years for regular eyebrow shaping and occasional makeup support. Recently she started tinting my brows because they have lightened with age appearing thinner. I am very pleased with the results.
My eyebrows are always gorgeous and I get compliments often. Yay!
Make-up: I didn't start wearing makeup until age 40. I would try the latest but looked like a clown. Deirdre is so good at finding the products, colors and tones that work best for me. She taught me how to apply the products, too.

I'm so glad I found Deirdre! I got referring from one of the girls from the Beauty Center when I noticed and complimented her eyebrows. I always wanted one person that I could see for my brows. Ever since I started seeing Deirdre, my eyebrows have gotten thicker (as I wanted) and I have received numerous compliments (even from men!). Her place is really cute and super clean. She's extremely friendly and it's always nice talking to her. I highly recommend her. I never knew my eyebrows could make such a big difference. I'm very happy!

Eyelash and eyebrow artistry! Just had my lashes tinted, and eyebrows tinted and shaped by Deirdre. I have had this done many times by others, but never this well. Deirdre performs absolute miracles with these techniques for maximizing the beauty of one's eyes. Her meticulous work and perfectionistic aesthetic make her a true professional and a rare find.

I've been seeing Deirdre for waxing for over five years. Deirdre has been able to make waxing an easy experience for me, she is professional, kind, and listens to my questions. In the process of going to her for waxing I have had several facials--during that time Deirdre has helped me find the right skin care products for my skin and guided me how to use them (she never gives unsolicited advice or pushes about what to buy)--I'm smarter about my skin after I see Deirdre, and I always feel great. Don't waste time going anywhere else.

Who knew having nicely groomed eyebrows can make such a difference?! Especially in my case where the hairs are out of control and like to grow in every direction. Deirdre is THE ONLY person I will ever let near my brows with wax and scissors.
I've had far too many experiences in the past with bad brow jobs (think burned skin from wax that was too hot, or mismatched brows because someone was in too big of a hurry) that I make special trips up to the bay area from Los Angeles where I currently live just to have her de-fur and shape these puppies.
