My daughter began seeing Dr. Ashley after a near catastrophic ankle injury several years ago. Since then, she has become an integral part of her competitive volleyball training. Dr. Ashley is so much more than just a knowledgeable health care provider. She truly cares about the whole patient, mind and body.
Dr. Ashley and Dr. Jason make sure the patient is an active participant in every aspect of their treatment. They are kind, honest, and dedicated professionals. Because of the highest level of care Perform for Life consistently provides - my daughter is focused on studying physical therapy in

Perform for Life Physical Therapy in Severna Park, MD saved my daughter from another year of dancing in pain! At 9 years old she already had a bunion in each foot and was experiencing pain while dancing. After going to a Foot and Ankle specialist we were told to quit dancing, which wasn't an option for as she loves dancing. We found Dr. Simmons through our dance studio. We immediately felt listened to and I knew my daughter's dance fun wasn't over! We received specialized exercises to strengthen her muscles in her feet as well as how to communicate with her dance instructors to best support her

Ashley worked with my daughter to resolve pain in her foot. Ashley did an excellent job determining the source of the problem and the steps that needed to be taken. Her explanations were thorough and easy for my 14 year old daughter to understand how she came to have foot pain. My daughter is a dancer and Ashley utilized dance terminology, positions and moves in the exercises, and trained my daughter how to move correctly when dancing to help heal the condition that brought her to PT, and to protect her joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons while dancing. I am also a physical therapist and I strongly

Perform for Life and Ashley Simmons have been great to my dancer daughter. We came to Ashley in 2019 after spending months with another therapist with little progress. Ashley jumped right in with great advice and a super referral. She got my girl back to her full time ballet training. Ashley is knowledgeable and well connected with other professionals. She's great to work with; she has returned calls during off hours; and, gone over and above to provide guidance when my girl and I couldn't find the right provider. I know my girl will be with Perform for Life for life. The location is convenient

The perfect storm of a back surgery along with hypermobility syndrome had caused some serious issues in my life. Prior to our move from IL to MD in 2013, I had finally found a DPT in Chicago who understood my unique circumstance and challenges. She literally gave me my life back! Interestingly enough, she also worked with the dance community. In MD, I tried a few places, but nothing came close to my previous experience so I essentially gave up. Upon hearing of Ashley’s background, I was obviously intrigued to see if she could possibly help me. I am not an aspiring or professional dancer! I am

Words cannot explain how our lives changed. We went to Dr. Ashley and she said, she would make a change, and boy did she ever. Thanks to her, not only is our daughter dancing again, but thriving. Our daughter had leaned how to use the proper tools from Dr. Ashley and adapt them into her everyday routines. We are extremely lucky to have found this practice Words cannot describe the

I had a fantastic experience with Perform for Life Physical Therapy! I am still amazed at how quickly I was able to return to my exercise routine post-injury. When I arrived to my first appointment, I could barely walk. Dr. Jason and Dr. Ashley took the time to ask me the right questions, educate me on body mechanics and teach me exercises/stretches that not only got me walking again, but got me running--all on a timeline that far exceeded my expectations. Both Dr. Jason and Dr. Ashley are very knowledgable, personable and fun to work with. I highly recommend Perform for Life Physical Therapy!

After a minor fall aggravating an existing back problem, I suddenly found myself in excruciating pain. A repeat visit to my orthopedic surgeon yielded yet another recommendation I undergo surgery. Having previously received treatment from Dr. Simmons for an unrelated problem, I again sought her help. She listened intently to my plethora of complaints and quickly designed a multi-faceted treatment plan. My twice weekly appointments quickly began to help alleviate the pain. Gradually, I progressed to the point where I am no longer experiencing pain and have been able to return to my normal level

I have been a patient with Dr. Simmons for over 5 years. I am an Irish dancer and have endured several injuries, but she has been able to get me back to dance every time. Not only is she an incredible physical therapist, she is also an excellent teacher. Dr. Simmons will help you understand the mechanics of your injury, as well as injury prevention for the future. I have learned so much over the years and I know that I would not have been able to keep dancing successfully if it weren’t for Dr. Simmons. She truly has a gift for physical therapy and I am forever grateful that she has helped me
