It all began with Charlie Zhang, a Chinese immigrant who arrived in the U.S. in 1982. One day, Charlie had an idea: maybe he could open a restaurant that satisfied the American taste for flavorful Chinese food that was fast and wok'd to order with fresh ingredients. Thus, the first Pick Up Stix restaurant was opened in 1989 in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

What happened to their food!!? We used to love pick up stix but after our order today, we won't be coming back. Bourbon chicken was so dry and pink on the inside. The few pieces we did try to eat were hard. Chow mein is usually the best, but it had no flavor today. And lastly the wontons had this paste-like filling that was tasteless as well. $50 meal for two is pretty expensive for bad food. Don't waste your money

We ordered food for curbside service and arrived at the specified time and called to let them know as instructed. Over the next 20 minutes or so we saw 2 customers who were already waiting inside get their food; then 1 who walked in and picked up probably another pre-order. Then we saw 1 walk-in get his food so we went inside to ask... Our food was on the counter, IDK for how long. Got home and the food was just okay.

Excellent service excellent food. We had a ordered a large order for next day pick up. It was ready and perfect. We had ordered other places stuff was missing or cold not here. The Jamboree location has an excellent staff. Our food was hot and delicious. The staff very helpful and polite. Will definitely order from here again. Thank you Pick Up Stix.

We love pick up stix, we had yet to visit this location however it's closer to where we live so we gave them a shot. It's Covid so we took the order home, we do not expect the food to look amazing since we are picking up. We were there on time, grabbed our order and headed home. First out egg rolls were not included, okay no worries it happens. But then we open our general orange chicken (pictured). Appearance is not appetizing, we proceeded to give it a try. Every time I wanna have some Chinese food for lunch or for dinner I go to P.F Chang’s and Panda Express. Except for today, I decided to give Pick Up Stix a chance and to stay away from my usual. The food is ok, but not perfect. It’s not something that will make me to go back to them again when I want some Chinese food. Unless if I am in an area where I can’t find P.F Chang’s and Panda Express near me. Still P.F Chang’s and Panda Express are the best in the area.

This is one of my favorite places...friendly employees, and tasty, healthy food at a very fair price!! I can't get enough of the Teriyaki Salmon with brown rice and vegetables ($10.99). A perfect dinner for a guy that doesn't cook! I also downloaded their app which gets me a bunch for 'freebies' throughout the year, and every December I order a $200 giftcard for myself (and get another $50 in free food!). On top of that, you get a free meal with every $100 you spend.
Best deal in town for great food...I'd have given them 10 STARS on Yelp if I could!!

Oh my goodness. The food has really gone downhill. Their cream cheese wontons now have a sticky dry white paste filling that doesn't taste like cream cheese at all. The General Tsao shrimp had so much sugar in it that it was inedible. And the house tofu was absolutely soggy.

I went to Pick Up Stix for the first time around a month ago. Sadly I have to say I have gotten the worst customer service ever. I told the young lady who was at the cashier that it was my first time at Pick Up Stix and told her I wanted a small meal. I nicely asked her to guide me through what could be the best option for me since I was not too hungry. She did not seem to care a lot about my concerns and it looks like the best option she could think of was chow mein, fried rice and orange chicken. I have eaten many times at a competitor who shall remain nameless, and they serve Chinese food promptly and deliciously at a reasonable price. Pick Up Stix was, in my experienced opinion, overpriced, slow to prepare my food, and the amount of chicken in my vegetables and chicken box was very meager.

We don’t get food from Pick Up Stix very often and it will be a long time before we do again. I placed an order on the Pick Up Stix Tustin website this morning for delivery at 6:00 this evening. I got a confirmation email soon after. At around 5:30 I got a text saying that my order was being delivered at 6:00. Shortly thereafter I got another text saying that my order was confirmed for 5:45-6:15 and they would let me know when it leaves. Then at 6:00 I get a text saying that my order has been canceled. Terrible customer service. Yennifer should 100% not deal with your customers as she has zero customer service skills. I had just spent $50 on an online pick up order and while ordering my kids food it did not give an option for another beverage other than a fountain drink. I have a 20 month old daughter who does not drink fountain drinks. When I arrived I saw there was Motts apple juice cartons. I asked to switch the drink and the young man working was friendly and began to assist me, when Yennifer overheard and felt the need to insert herself in the conversation from across the kitchen area

I literally never write negative reviews, or reviews at all but this was necessary. I have eaten pick up six at several locations throughout the years and this location seems to always produce the worst tasting food. Too oily was my number one complaint. Me and the other person who ate there yesterday both ended up with stomach issues afterwards. The bourbon chicken used to be nicely cut up in normal bite sized strips you could just pick the food out of the takeout box and now they are these huge disproportionate pieces that you have to cut with a knife inside the little takeout box. Not sure why this place has such a low star rating as I've never had a bad experience.
99% of the time I'm ordering takeout and they've always had my order ready & on time. The place appears to be clean and the food is decent. You're not getting gourmet but you're also not getting panda express. It's just a great quick middle of the week lunch or dinner spot when you don't feel like cooking.
The only thing preventing me from giving this place a five star rating is that my food containers don't ever really seem full. There's always room in the
