I was craving chicken and waffles and saw this place was rated well for it. When you travel and have had proper southern food then go out west (or to any part of the world that is know to make a certain type of food very well), don't expect it to be the same. The food was just OK (truly only 3 stars)! I will say however the customer service was superb and we were welcomed with open arms!! For that, I'll give them a 4.

This visit I went for the chicken and waffles because I've kept hearing good things about it....I wasn't too impressed though. Waffles good? Yeah. Bacon good? Yeah. Having the chicken, bacon, waffle, and syrup in one forkful tasty? Yeah. But for me I want to be able to enjoy the chicken on it's own aside from waffles and bacon ya know. Without the bacon waffles and syrup, the chicken was bland to me. I wouldn't/couldn't have that chicken on it's own. If the chicken can't stand on it's own, is it really good chicken?😭 anyway, also ordered sweet potato fries they were crispy not soggy 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

This place us amazing. Isaiah took great care of us. Maybe best waiter I've ever had. So friendly and helped me decide to get the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac cheese and side of biscuit gravy. I gained 10 pounds tonight. I've got plenty for lunch tomorrow. I stopped by and told the chefs how much I loved their food. Every thing about this restaurant is perfect. Food, staff and the drinks. My goodness, the old fahsion and peach tea. Bartender made excellent drinks. Everyone needs to try this place. Good job staff. We will be back. Isaiah is a great a great kid and waiter. Love it all. Thanks

We made a reservation for dinner after getting a recommendation for The Porch. Our server Richard was incredible. The best service I have had in a long time. He had some great recommendations and knew the menu so well. He also mixes a really fantastic cocktail.
We started with the Skillet Mac & Cheese and added bacon which was incredible! The bacon was cooked to perfection and the mac & cheese was cheesy creamy deliciousness. For dinner I ordered the Porch Burger which may sound basic but there was nothing basic about it. Not all burgers are created equal and this one really set itself ahead of

Went to the Porch had excellent service the food was cooked nicely. I would recommend getting something other than one of the chicken biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was amazing but the chicken strip that was placed on it was a bit dry and hard maybe it sat out a bit too long. But great flavor. Try everything there is a lot to choose from.

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch at The Porch. They didn’t have any openings until Weds but we lucked out as they allowed us to slip in on a no-show’s reservation. Food was delicious and our waitstaff was delightful in that he shared with us the history of some of the dishes and interesting food chemistry facts. Made the experience fun!

This restaurant is located in the midtown area of Sacramento. It use to be a very nice hotspot for brunch on Sundays and the wait to get in was very long but since covid the crowds are nonexistent and there is never a wait. The food is based on New Orleans style dishes and some of the items hit its mark like the brisket and bourbon collard greens. Very tasty. I ordered the buttermilk seasoned fried chicken and thought it lacked the crispy crunch you’d get from using all flour, which they didn’t do apparently, as it tasted and looked like they used a mixture of cornmeal and flour. Also, I had

The Porch is one of the better restaurants I've eaten at in Sacramento. The picture attached is fried green tomatoes with a twist. I wish I wasn't at hungry when our meals came out or I would've remembered to take pictures. Chicken and waffles for me and shrimp and grits for my date. Not one complaint for The Porch or our amazing and superbly knowledgeable waiter, Nick. We will be back.

My friend and I came across this place by Google maps. We were in the area and felt like brunch. We ordered food to eat later it was so delicious. The food was so fresh and good here. It tasted homemade. The service was good. My only complaint is trying to get double small things like extra butter because we were sharing our plates and didn't want to double dip. Getting the little things like butter to go, was strangely difficult. I mentioned I was allergic to pecans, when I went to eat my salad, I couldn't eat it. They didn't leave them off. This is why I wish restaurants would have their servers

A friend told me about this place. I had brunch here and loved it! We sat inside. It was clean, friendly, inviting with the farm house feel. We ordered Grilled brie as a starter and it was so good that I plan to come back soon just for plates of that to share and drinks. We also ordered the shrimp and Grits and chicken and waffles. Both were amazing! The shrimp were a good size and meaty, and the grits were perfect with a mild BBQ sauce. For the chicken and waffles, the chicken was breaded with a crust that was light and melted but still had that satisfying crunch with moist chicken. The syrup
