The name "Alaro" is derived from the surname Ballestero dating back to medieval Spain when one Ramon Ballesteros was lord of the castle of Alaro and it's an honor to pay homage to our ancestral name. Located in the space where Rubicon Brewing Co was born, Alaro Craft Brewing now brings a great new vibe, a beautiful but casual interior & outdoor patio area and a super friendly staff to this time-honored space in the heart of Midtown Sacramento.

The entire Alaro team will bring simple & flavorful new ideas that include working with small farmers and producers to get the best ingredients possible.
Two Poached Eggs served in Cast Iron Dish over a spicy sauce of Tomato, Bell Peppers, Onions, Garlic, Paprika and Feta served with Pain Levain Toast. Our delicious Spanish wine cocktail is house made using Honoro Vera Monastrell wine, grapefruit, orange and lime juices. A deliciously elegant concoction of our Le Colture Brut Prosecco and flavor of the season.
NEW BREWERY-RESTAURANT GROWS FROM OLD ROOTS You'd be forgiven if you couldn't keep track of the multiple brewery and restaurant openings in Sacramento last year. Sacramento Magazine recently reviewed a selection of some of the best desserts in Sacramento. Most breweries might have a fine reputation for their beverages but are less stellar with their food.

They are obviously short of staff and we had to sit almost 15 minutes until someone gets our order. The staff however are very nice. I ordered a pub burger lettuce wrapped and the quality of the burger was good. However, $19 for a burger wrapped with lettuce and tomatoes, and no pickles, is pricy and not what you expect in a brewery in terms of price range.
And by the way, on google, it reads $$ but it's definitely a $$$ restaurant and the portion size doesn't fit the price!

Although a brewery, this place has a pub vibe. They also offer cocktails. The food offering is large with a good number of tapas. Burgers are also on the menu. The tapas when we visited were good but not spectacular, hence my 4 stars. Overall a nice hangout place to enjoy a wide variety of drinks and beers.

This place is great. Almost never too crowded, and have made last minute brunch reservations a handful of times - huge bonus. (Open Table) They have outdoor (front and back) and indoor dining options. Décor is cute, great for a group or just 1-2.
Food quality is great. They pride themselves on unique dishes you won't find elsewhere, which I love. They also have some dishes that take multiple days to prepare, which is true dedication to the food. Portions are pretty small as they are tapas style, so you don't have to be rolled out of the restaurant.

I am a total sucker for fish and chips, so when I found out that they have it on the menu, I just had to check them out. And I was not disappointed. Love the interior, causal but stylish and classy. Full bar… with specialty cocktails. And the food. Yes, amazing. We had shrimp ceviche, elote off the cob, pulpo gallego, and of course, fish and chips. Loved it all, a bit too heavy on chips vs fish, but delicious. I am definitely going back! Thank you !

Did it really quick stop here in connection with a guided food tour experience that I participated in. Once I walked in the door this location was jiving , lots of people inside. It was over a year ago since my visit but a very good one. It is a place in mind that I would enjoy visiting again. I would like to do more of their tasting that they offered. Outside seating is available
