In 1884, William H. Briley was born in a small Alabama town where hard work and principles were instilled in him at an early age. When William turned 25, he became a door-to- door salesman for The Singer Company. At the time, Singer was the foremost leader in the industry. With perseverance and determination, William learned the trade and opened his own business in 1943.

Walked in with tons of questions. Was greeted and assisted by a lady named Laura. She was super helpful. Bought my daughter a sewing machine and left with a smile.

I had the best experience today at Ashby with Laura! My embroidery machine wasn't acting right so I was able to sign up for a private lesson to learn what was going wrong with my particular machine. She walked me through, step-by-step until I had a wonderful finished product! Thank you for amazing customer service and a truly enjoyable experience!

I took my Sewing machine in because it wasn’t winding the bobbin. It was my first time there.
Great customer service and very friendly.
The repair man fixed it on the spot in about 10 minutes and didn’t charge me a dime.
Excelente example of a small business caring for even first time customers!
Ashby will definitely be my place to go for all my sewing needs!!

I purchased a brother scanncut today. They were super helpful and very nice. The lady even recommended a few stores I could get my accessories from. Definitely worth the long drive there. I'm going back anytime I need a new machine and one hundred percent will recommend this store to anyone living around Atlanta.

My wife called Marc looking for a part for her brother machine. The call started ok, and he asked for the model number (which my wife asked me for as we were out running errands, because I had it memorized). Marc became snippy and disrespectful stating that he needed the model to look up the correct part (my wife and I both understand looking at a parts list or diagram to get the right part). He may have mistook my wife's question to me but it was no reason to proceed in the conversation in the manner that he did. We were then passed over for another call that came in, hung up on once, and had

Marc tweaked my machine and now I am embroidering on a whole new level, Thanks to his help. He could have charged me a lot, but he is a honest business man and made a simple fix. Great products in the store at a fair price. Super helpful staff too. Thank You ASHBY SEWING

This place was awesome! They have machines and fabric and notions - a sewist's paradise. I brought in a 2-year-old Brother sewing machine that was locked up. The man who does the repairs (I think is also the owner) was very thorough explaining to me what had happened to my machine. He showed me a "skeleton" of the inside of a machine like mine and pointed out all the parts. Very nice and very informative. While I was there I looked at new machines. A wonderful lady - Paige - showed me the machines I was interested in and explained the differences and the prices. I bought a

I drive over an hour to get here, pass 2 Janome dealers on the way to get here. Their service is second to none. Both Mark and Laura are super nice and very knowledgeable. I made a big purchase in buying a embroidery machine and more valuable is the service I get from Ashby’s.

Wonderful customer service and knowledge technicians! I went in to have them see if they could find out what was wrong with my sewing machine - it suddenly stopped sewing a tight stitch. I’d already given up and purchased another sewing machine online, after hours of googling and trying my own fixes, when I decided I’d at least see what they say.
The technician said he could look at it and that a quick fix was $20, while a more difficult fix would be $80. He promised to take a look and let me know which fix it would be.
Turns out it was a quick one, and $20 later I had cancelled my new sewing

First time visiting this store with my mother in law looking to see how to take advantage of the sewing classes that they advertise. UNFORTUNATELY, with the number of people in the establishment talking (4/5)NOT ONE PERSON acknowledged that we had entered the store nor even spoke. We continued to walk around the store looking and once again NO ONE even gave common courtesy to ask us if we needed any help or anything. I have never been so disrespected in any store that I have visited in the Kennesaw area since I moved here a year ago. Needless to say, they missed out on the potential revenue that

Must state up front that i'm an infrequent shopper at this store. I went there today for the 20% discount on "all you can fit in your Ashby bag" per the email i had received. I found the items i wanted to purchase. I was told at the counter that i couldn't use the 20% discount as the sale didn't start until monday - this was saturday. I showed her (owner's wife) the email on my phone, she argued with me about the date, actually commented that "he messed that up" and then she disappeared into another room to talk with the owner. I waited...and waited

These folks aren't overwhelmingly talkative, but they do a good job at machine repair! I've taken my machines to them for years with great results.

Recently I took a machine in that had been literally gathering dust for years at a friends' house. I was somewhat disappointed that when I got it back it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned on the outside. It seems like that would be sensible since if I can't see that you cleaned it on the inside it should sparkle on the outside to reassure me that it has been taken care of.

Still, I'm glad they are here because sewing machines
