Main St. Psychiatry, S.C., is a multidisciplinary mental health group practice that provides high quality care in a cost-effective manner to people of all ages in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Coordination of care, when appropriate, with other medical and mental health professionals, community resources, schools, and agencies.
Dr. Parks has been a psychiatrist in the Chicago area since 1993. She treats people from all walks of life and with the full spectrum of psychiatric problems. She offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, expert second opinions and private consultation to individuals, other physicians and mental health providers, businesses and attorneys.
NeuroStar TMS provides transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a measured and repeated magnetic pulse, that targets key areas of the brain that are underactive in people with depression. While the exact cause of depression is not known, the leading scientific theory is that it is caused by an imbalance in the brain's neurotransmitters, which are chemical messengers that send signals between brain cells and play a role in mood.
We ask that patients arrive 15-30 minutes prior to their initial appointment time to complete registration paperwork. After this paperwork is finished and at the appropriate time, you will begin your appointment with your treatment provider. You can expect to have a thorough history taken relative to the reason for the appointment.
It is expected that patients will pay their share of the treatment cost at the time of service. This includes the balance in full if the insurance deductible has not been met. We do accept self pay patients. If you are a self paying patient, it is expected that you will pay in full at the time of each session.

I have seen Dr. Parks for some time. I strongly recommend her and Main St. Psychiatry. Dr. Parks is extremely warm, attentive, collaborative and results driven. She is non-judgmental, makes me feel safe to share, and offers a great deal of helpful insight. Dr. Parks thoughtfully prescribes medication, carefully explaining the pros and cons of a particular medication.before prescribing it. Dr. Parks is also knowledgable about various treatment modalities. I did TMS at Main St. Psychiatry and found it incredibly helpful. I have found the office to be warm, inviting and safe. I love this practice.!! Everyone from the front desk team to the specialist. Everyone at the front desk is on top of everything. Dr. Parks is very knowledgeable and i feel like i have finally been diagnosed and medicated properly.. My addiction counselor, Sherry is there when I have a struggle or good news to share.Gayle is always available for meditication inquiries, Alyssa helps with my insurance to get the proper auth. I could not ask for a more valuable team to assist me.

This is BY FAR the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL and medically IRRESPONSIBLE medical facility I have ever dealt with or even heard of. This is both in their psychiatric care and in their office management. Things they have done are not only illegal, they are unethical and what im sure most people would consider to be "sick".

Dr. Parks and Dr. Derose and their Staff are OUTSTANDING.
They took the time to really understand and get to the bottom of
the issues that were occuring. After many many years of trying to find a Dr that doesnt just push different meds and not really Listen to what was being said, we found 2 Dr's. That Truly Care.

Dr. Parks changed my life. a little over 2 years ago I met with her for the first time. She was able to give me the right combination of medication to make me feel normal for the first time since I was 11 years old and started getting depressed. I had been hospitalized 4 times and was not getting better. Thanks to Dr. Parks, I am rarely depressed, not suicidal anymore, my anxiety is controlled, the "fog" in my head is gone, and I can concentrate. I never thought I'd be able to live without the symptoms of severe depression and bipolar. I trust her judgement and treatment. I recommend her many times
