My first experience at Dr. Vandal’s office was with Jacylyn- and if I could give her 10 stars I would. Any conversation we had she delivered information in such an amazing way that was detailed, while still being understandable and compassionate. Jacylyn always goes above and beyond, and is responsive when I ask questions, need refills, or any issue that may arise. She’s incredible!

After being referred to A Ray of Hope from my PCP, it was a great first time experience at today's visit. Never being at a Psychiatry office before, I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I entered the office, I immediately felt a peaceful and warm welcoming vibe. There was a tranquil piece of art on the wall with water flowing beneath it. Birds were in the corner chirping as the representatives worked behind their desks. The lights were a little lower than the usual office scene, providing a comfortable atmosphere.
The staff were friendly and informative. The office appeared to be

I would be careful about becoming a patient at this practice. Initially I really enjoyed my sessions but then had a very hard time communicating with the therapist I was seeing and each person I spoke with on the phone was unhelpful and made my anxiety and panic worse. I was billed at full price without the practice submitting any claims to my insurance. Thankfully I was able to sort it out after many hours on the phone with insurance and then providing step by step instructions on how to submit a claim to the billing manager. The practice stated they had tried to submit claims, but my insurance

We have been through a few therapists with our son (and medications) and were so grateful to have found this office for a solid treatment plan!!! Faya is AMAZING. Dr. Bansal insisted our son see him for counseling eventhough we did not have good experiences in the past with therapists and it has made such a difference. While there are still some rough days, we know he now has support and receiving some great coping skills. We were also very pleased to learn Faya will soon be offering EMDR therapy. Thank you for your help Dr. Bansal and team. Much appreciated.

Doctor Bansal has been supportive when we had no hope. My son has chronic migraines along with other blood challenges which prevent him from taking what others do to manage pain. Doctor Bansal was able to help manage the pain with a new take on pain. He goes to school out of state and somehow we always seem to work with the office to take care of things when he needs it. Communication is key.
We have seen new treatments help when traditional treatments could not.
With regard to the wait time, I have found most doctors who solve the tough challenges do have a high demand. While you will need

While getting my vitals checked by a nurse, Faya Kacos-Shiu walked out of her office without a mask, alongside a patient less than six feet apart. At this time, Executive Order 2020-32 was in place stating masks must be worn in public indoor spaces. I asked my nurse politely why she was not wearing a mask. The nurse lied and said she had a medical condition. As I waited in the parking lot to be seen by my doctor, due to this disregard for safety, Faya Kacos-Shiu came out and admitted she had a lapse in judgement and simply forgot to wear her mask.

I have never been so disappointed with a doctors office in my life. We recently moved to the area and waited almost 3 months for our sons appointment. When he finally got in, they didn't like the medication our son was previously prescribed. He agreed to change to another medication that they recommended, no problem. The PA that saw him ran out at the end of the appointment because she said she was late to the next appointment. She never called in the new meds. I called the next day to get the medication and after 4 phone calls and three emails, I never got a response about his prescription

I don't know about waiting time because I started with Dr. Bansal during Co-Vid, but she has been such an incredible find. I have been to many psychiatrists in my life, and I have never LOVED them as much as I love Dr. Bansal. She is incredibly smart, savvy, friendly and helpful. Among my other meds, she prescribed specific exercise regiment backed by science (what psychiatrist does that?!) and has done an excellent job helping me with coping strategies. She's incredible. I'd wait however long I needed to to see her.

On two consecutive visits, my husband had to wait over 1hour and 15 minutes after his appointment time before he was even brought in to the exam room. Plus, to add insult to injury, they took patients who arrived AFTER him into the exam room before they took him.
Neither the receptionist nor the doctor proactively communicated that there would be a delay, and no one offered an apology either. All they said was "sometimes we get a little behind".
If you are going to go here, be sure you allow yourself a lot of extra time and know that you will have to ask for an eta or be ignored
