Services
In 1935 the Rustic Inn offered passersby and locals green turtle steaks, gasoline and, during the Prohibition years, libations. Built by Berlin Felton, O.D. King was operating the Inn when it was destroyed in the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane. During the Category 5 hurricane that took nearly 500 lives, Edney and Edna Parker sought shelter at the Inn.
The Green Turtle perfects authentic FL Keys style by combining the charm of our "laid back" way of life with gourmet flair. Our menu seamlessly fuses classic regional cooking traditions with innovative epicurean creations. We are passionate about our cuisine and utilize local and organically grown ingredients as much as possible.

Our family of 4 went on a Wednesday night - husband had the steak special which was phenomenal. I had the cornbread and Kobe sliders - both of which were great. Husband is still talking about the cornbread.
Kids ordered Mac & cheese - it was a HUGE portion and fed them for lunch the next day.
Drinks were good - overall great spot and would go again.

The Green Turtle in looks like your basic beach bar from the outside but it is so much more! The decor is warm with lots of pictures of the owners and guests. There are also turtle and other sea friends in the mix as well.
We started off with the cornbread and tater tots. The cornbread is topped with maple pecan butter and absolutely decadent. The tater tots are drizzled with truffle oil and topped with fresh Parmesan. They came out super hot and were delicious! They also brought out garlic breadsticks which were super good too.

We sat in the bar area because we couldn't figure out how to get to the regular restaurant. We walked through a store and they directed us to the bar area so that's where we sat. The bartender was awesome and very friendly! The food wasn't great. Deviled eggs seemed pre made and weren't that tasty. The wings were 50 cents and I understand why. They were the really large chicken wings and just not very good. I would go back for drink specials but not for the food. Bud lights were $2 and captain Morgan drinks were $3.

Great place with incredible food. My good friend Frank is the manager and he was awesome as always. Please come hungry because the portions are shareable and are delicious. The Lobster Mac n' Cheese is huge and just fantastic. A must place for locals and any out of town guests. Take the ride side and enjoy south Florida hospitality and cuisine at its best.

The bloody Mary’s were good, I wish they put a bit more spice into it but that’s just my preference
My bf got the shrimp and grits I decided the lobster eggs Benedict, I was surprised to see the big chunks of lobster! It was delicious and really filling. I took a couple of bites of the shrimp and grits as well, and the flavor was incredible!

A must try restaurant! Our server was very attentive and polite. The menu had all the island favorites. The bang bang shrimp was the best I've tried to date. Flavorful and served with freshly made coleslaw. The cesar salad was dressed proper and crisp including anchovies. The scallops were well seasoned with a delicious pasta that included mushrooms and lobster. The fresh catch was sea bass which was a huge serving. We didn't leave hungry with the portions served. I highly recommend The Green Turtle Inn.

My hubby and I stayed at Cheeca Lodge for his birthday a week ago and we were told this was a great place for breakfast, it was so great actually we went 2 days in a row!! Lol honestly I'm a bit at a loss for words (that's hard for me). I recommend sitting in the outdoor space for breakfast, it was beautiful and warm First day I had the Lobster Benedict which was seasoned superbly and hubby had their basic breakfast, which he was very pleased with. We also got the sticky cinnamon bun to-go...definitely a winning idea as we snacked on this later at our home away from home w some hot tea

This place was recommended by a friend. The bartender Brian? was excellent and made a Smoked Old Fashioned. He was right the smoke infused rye was unusual and fantastic. When it came the meals, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them .I had the Gulf Grouper and my wife the crab cake. Both were excellent! The service was not rushed and very attentive.

Awesome little joint!! I felt like our server was an old pal by the end of the meal. I had the lox platter and it HIT THE SPOT!! My Mom's patty melt had me drooling with the smell when it came out, but I think the star of the show was the corned beef hash. This did not come out of a can, beef made separate and shredded on top. I would say only crisp up the potatoes a little bit more and it would be perfect!!!

Been coming here for years whenever I am in the keys. Had breakfast today and it was excellent. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had. Wife ordered a spinach and mushroom omelet which she loved.
Our server was great and pricing was very much in line with the quality of food. The restaurant is classy, love the vibe of this place.

First off, the Inn gets busy on weekdays so expect a wait. The first time, we were lucky and grabbed two spots at the bar. The next day ... a Sunday ... we had about a 30-minute wait. They take your cell phone number so you can wander around the shop next door. Or you can grab a bloody at the bar, and sit at one of the tables outside while you wait.
Service both times was efficient and polite. Not a lot of small talk but the place was hopping.

Great menu. I really enjoyed the Turtle Chowder and the Bread Pudding. The Key Lime pie was quite delicious as well. The crust is made with macadamia nuts.
The turtle chowder is made with snapping turtle and is quite spicy. I loved it! You may want to order some bread on the side because of the heat.
Their coffee is delicious as well. It did not have a bitter taste like some do.
The staff were very kind and helpful.
Once you finish eating you can enjoy the store next door. Lots of great products including Patagonia and Sun Bum.
