Best place to tantalize my golden tongue. This was literally the last meal I had in the Islamorada and it was the BEST meal I've had. If I ever come back, I sure would have booked reservation here again. The staff was excellent and very responsive. The food...... oh the food was so delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. I never had conch or hog fish but I did enjoy it thanks to how the chef at this restaurant prepared it. I had the hog fish Juliette style with shrimp and scallops with almond slices. Yummmy

Unfortunately I had experienced the worst service possible. I made a reservation a month in advance for a special occasion, for a large party. Our family got hit with COVID, I changed the reservation to two in advance. Paid (gave my credit card as a gift to the couple) when the got there they were given a sit at the bar which was tight and uncomfortable. Also the person at the front was rude to my family celebrating their bday after driving an hour. I called to find out what happened and the manager laughed and refuse to give me a name. Obviously costumer service is not their specialty

Overall decent experience. -1 star as the restaurant itself is not really visually pleasant and so overpriced. $40 for a fish fillet with some WHITE rice and some veggies is not proportionate. I understand that it is a fresh catch, but nor the presentation or the flavor itself was something extraordinary. The kids menu is very good tho!! Additionally, the fish was prepared very oily, and it felt very heavy on me. To improve, I wouldn’t suggest filling tge plate with the rice, but maybe add a little bit less and a side salad, to balance out the flavor.

Had a great Christmas Eve dinner here last night. The specials were many and the whole lobster was calling my name. We served with some lump crab and shrimp. Was very good!
Wife had the Tilefish that was one of five(I believe) fresh catches. Was also very good and we both loved the acorn squash and coconut rice that came with the meals!

The food is amazing! We had the shrimp and lobster ceviche, wedge salad and escargot for appetizers. For main course the pasta and seafood dish, and the fish trilogy. Dessert was creme brulee and salted caramel cheesecake. We were celebrating my birthday and the creme brulee was on the house. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The place has a great ambiance and service. Highly recommend this place!

This was a last minute decision so we weren't able to get in for a reservation until late on a Wednesday. Highly recommend making reservations early. We watched people being turned away as we waited for our table. The downfall was arriving 15 minutes early and had to sit outside by the parking lot with a glass of wine since there was no room at the bar. Oh well.... the food and dessert were worth the wait! Started with ceviche, conch fritters and tuna tataki! Yum! Followed by seafood pasta (2 people split because it is SO large), the special which was lion fish and a blackened triple

Went to this restaurant in Islamorada on a recommendation from people at the resort we stayed at and it was absolutely incredible! Does fill up fast, and reservations are basically required! Cute little restaurant with extensive wine list. We had the specials for the night - fully cooked shrimp and lobster ceviche, then the spiny lobster with sherry lobster cream sauce, shrimp and scallops, and the lobster stuffed with crab and topped with a creamy sauce. Went here based on a friend’s recommendation so expectations were high. Unfortunately the food was just OK. The service was great, so need to highlight that. Perhaps it was just an off day, ordered the Seafood Pasta, Shrimp, Scallops & Lobster, Oven Roasted Tomato & Basil Cream. The pasta was drowned in sauce which took away from the taste of the ingredients.

The upscale setting is a nice change of pace from the laid back beach options we had for our other meals. The food is good, ascetic is spot on however this was not the best food we had in my opinion. Square grouper was better it just depends on the feel you're looking for. Recommend this place for a quite date night vibe.

My wife and I are staying in Islamorada for our 2-year wedding anniversary and couldn't have enjoyed our dinner more.
First when they heard about our anniversary, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a "happy anniversary," which was a nice touch.
The food was excellent, here's what we got:
1) bread with some type of amazing dip/chimmichurri sauce - 10/10
2) conch and rock shrimp fritters - 9/10, especially with the sauce they serve with it
3) ceviche - 8/10, really good, just overpriced at $25 in my opinion
4) the TRILOGY - 10/10, three pieces of 2-3oz of fish

Been driving by here for years saying one day... one day I will make it in.. finally that day has come.. we made a reservation in advance and we opted to sit at the bar. This is a comfort zone for us. Less stress less thinking and better conversation with anyone who is there. We sat promptly at our reservation time. Becky our bartender was AMAZING!! she helped us navigate the wine list as well as the menu. With a wave a magic wand out came a perfect bottle of Franks family wine , paired with a delicious meal. They served us a bread bowl that I passed on . Looked good but I didn't want to ruin

I have been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and I have never been let down. Their food is excellent although I will say the mashed potatoes on this time around were a little greasy. Aside from that the food was delicious! Compliments to the chef. Our server was also delightful. Overall great experience.

Decided to celebrate our 1 yr marriage anniversary here while visiting Key West. The food was AMAZING. High quality seafood. Had a variety of selections of fish to choose from, then you pick how you want it cooked. They have rotating dessert selections, not too many choices but carrot cake was HUGE (probably enough for 3 ppl) and DELICIOUS. I'm not a huge carrot cake fan, but I devoured it Pricey but worth it for special occasions!

By far the best dining experience we have had in the Keys! I made reservations for my husband and I, it was his birthday, and I decided to treat him to Chef Michael’s! What a treat! Everything from the service to the food was fabulous, thank you Chris for such knowledgeable and fabulous service!
We met a family from Charlotte North Carolina and was talking with them about fishing gave them a spot, our honey hole. They wind up buying our dinner for us! What a wonderful family and what a fabulous surprise! I would love to find them and treat them to some Stone crab claws! ❤️

Chef Michael's in Islamorada is known for it's high-class island style seafoods and steaks. Locals know this is one of the best places on the island for a quality meal, and because of that reservations are hard to come by. The hogfish is the unofficial mascot of the restaurant since it is locally caught and one of the freshest options on the menu.
Appetizers pictured are the Lobster and Shrimp Ceviche as well as the Tuna Tataki. The ceviche was served in a coconut, which made for a great presentation. Both options were fresh and tasty.

Make reservations well in advance! They book up quickly, notwithstanding the expensive prices (but at least the food is good!).
Loved the fresh seafood of the day (tripletail prepared Juliette style - the shrimp on top was amazing). The vanilla creme brûlée was also quite good, though I wasn't very impressed by the 2 lb grilled Florida lobster. I enjoyed the coconut rice both dishes came with a lot.
