Established in 1971, The House of Genji provides delicious and distinctive Japanese Tappan dining with flair in the heart of Silicon Valley. Tappan means "cooked on iron" - which you will experience right at your table! You will begin your dining experience with a refreshing salad, lightly drizzled with a special house dressing made fresh daily and accented with cherry tomatoes, followed by steaming soup sipped Japanese style.

Fresh Green (Mizuna, Kaiware When Available) with Avocado. Asian Style Chicken Salad. Iceberg Lettuce, Crisp Fried Chicken Breast in Light Batter. Snowy Rice Vermicelli, Cilantro and a hint of Cashew Nuts, Tossed with our Unique Dressing. Japanese-Style Potstickers, Deep Fried to Golden Brown, served with Soy and Rice Vinegar Dipping Sauce.
I always love to come here with my family. The cooking at the table keeps the kids entertained and I always see that the food is so fresh. The mustard sauce is the best!
