Services
Nature trails offer the guest a chance to experience the beauty of the North Georgia wilderness. Fishing is available in our pond, which is well-stocked with channel catfish, bass, and brim. The strong scent of White Pine mixes with Dogwood, Mountain Laurel, Rhododendrons and a myriad of other wild flowers and fills the air along the beautiful wooded nature trails that follow Cavender Creek.
Cavender Creek Cabins is located 1 hour north of Atlanta with easy access from GA Hwy 400. Take GA 400 North to its point of termination at Highway 60. From there follow Longbranch Rd for 4Z miles to the first stop sign. Turn left onto Hwy 52 and continue for 3Z miles where you'll see Rock House Antiques on your right.
The Cavender Creek Cabin complex is only four miles from Dahlonega, the beautiful North Georgia town that literally blossomed from the center of the Georgia gold rush of 1829. The historic old city offers a variety of specialty shops, attractions, and fine restaurants. Visit Dahlonega's website. We have made an agreement with Wildwater Adventures so our guests can receive a 15% discount on their River trips and their zip line adventures.
Cancellation Policy: There will be a $25 cancellation fee. Balance of deposit may be applied toward a rescheduling if rescheduled at least 7 days prior to arrival date. A reschedule date must be within six months and can only be rescheduled once. Cancellation made less than 7 days prior to arrival date will forfeit the deposit.

First, the website for this sight is not secured. (warnings from my virus protection and is not "https"). Therefore, I was not comfortable leaving personal information on it. Additionally, I had some questions about the cabins. I called the number on the website and left a message to contact me. I also went on the website and sent a request to contact me. Several days later and no response. I cannot imagine if I booked this cabin what would happen if I needed something. Not a great way to conduct business. I would not book a cabin now even if they did finally respond.

BEWARE of CABIN #8 Its privately owned and NOT apart of the onsite cabins. Our hot tub was ice cold upon arrival , mattress old and painful, breaker trips if you use microwave, stove burner not working, bathroom fan load squeal noise: We could have moved into another cabin the next day As the onsite management felt bad but the owner never acknowledged them either. I left in more pain and more stressed. All i wanted was a relaxing weekend and a hot tub. I got neither.

What an awesome place to get away! We stayed in a privately owned cabin, cabin 8. Mike is the owner. The cabin was small and cozy. Perfect for my husband and I.
The cabin had beautiful wood walls and all the beautiful wood furniture to match it. The decor and details were just very well thought out. The jacuzzi was amazing and had a privacy wall so the cabin next door could not see you when in the jacuzzi. It overlooks a little lake that has the cutest playful little otter.
It was so nice to sit in the swing on the porch overlooking the lake with a cup of coffee in your hand. There is a creek

I have stayed at Cavender Creek Several times over the past years and have always hat a great stay. The cabins have that pine smell and great sounds of Frogs and crickets while your sitting on the porch at night. I like the Loft in the one cabin the best. Kinda makes you feel like a kid again and that is always fun. The owners are great folks with your best interest in mind. They like the same kinda things you do so it makes it easy to provide a great stay.

From the decor to the view of the front porch, it is absolutely breathtaking. Very cozy, private, quiet, and the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I enjoyed the fishing pond,and listening to nature. The cabin was well stocked with the essential items you may need. I loved being there so much, I wanted to cry when we left. I highly recommend this cabin. It you want a peaceful, beautiful place to spend some time, this is for you. Thank you so much for the time of our lives.

Another great find on our traveling adventure. Cavender Creek Cabins are the absolute best. Julie is so attentive and kind. She asked questions about our needs. The little things that matter, like plenty of towels, coffee waiting for us and the comfort of the cabins. Ours was the best! Right over the pond with plenty of fish to watch and a crane who hangs out. These cabins are an absolute must in Dahlonega, GA. We will be back and often!
