The knowledgeable staff at Drs DeVito and Martin Optometry is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Optometry, Dr. Martin has been in private practice with Dr. DeVito since 1994. Dr. Martin served in the U.S. Navy as head of the Optometry Department at Sewell's Point Branch Medical Clinic.
A member of the Tidewater Optometric Society, the Virginia Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and voted one of America's Top Optometrists by the Consumer's Research Council of America in 2009.Dr. Martin specializes in contact lenses, sports vision and primary eye care. He is also licensed to treat eye infections, eye trauma and diseases including glaucoma.

So the dr are cool but this one guy African American dark skin..that was finishing up my order.. not much help on finding a good price. So I dont be spending money i don't have to .he is use to the high class people I guess..but Then I come back 2 days later and the glasses..that we fitted was put back are you kidding me .I told him I be back Friday even if he thought I couldn't pay or whatever..doesn't mean put them back finish my order..I had to start all over then this nice lovely lady that help me.. tall white lady and I didnt have to pay what I thought I did ...she help me alot .😊

I have been a patient of Dr. Martin's for twenty-two years. He is as professional and polite today as he was twenty- two years ago. I am now bringing my son to see Dr. Martin. If you are looking for a top notch eye doctor, check him out in Janaf Shopping Center. You just don't run into doctors like Dr. Martin anymore. I hope he sticks around a lot longer.

Found this gem in Norfolk, and now my family and I will not be going anywhere else. Dr. Martin was very friendly and personable. He gave a very detailed and thorough explanation of the steps he was taking and why they were necessary. I can tell he genuinely cares about the health of your eyes and knows his stuff! He was great with my kids, and all the other staff were wonderful from the contact teaching to helping them select their glasses. Great atmosphere! Thank you guys for taking care of me and my family.

I had an emergency situation happening with my vision, called, they evaluated my symptoms and was able to get me in for an appointment within an hour! I saw Dr. Martin, very nice, he did thorough testing of my eyes to make sure everything was checked, including dilation. I left with an answer/diagnosis.
He was very knowledgeable, he took the time to explain every detail, even used visuals. I will be going back in the future. (The staff was very nice and respectful also.)

I've visited a few other optometrists and I've never found any other office or practice more effective. From the front desk to optometry associates the staff are the best! Both Dr Devito and Martin are informative, answered all questions, communicate in simple terms and ensured that I was aware of my options! Devito and Martin have different personalities but equally great! BEST IN THE 757....

Doctors Devito and Martin, and their absolutely professional staff, have been taking care of us for fourteen years now. The "from reception, to eye tests, to getting framed" process is very efficient with smiles and courtesy at each step. The facility is very clean and well maintained - the art work on the bulkheads is fascinating too! Great… selection of frames in both design and price range. For us the location could not be more convenient as we can grab a bite and get some shopping done after our appointments at the many businesses surrounding their JANAF clinic. You may not know it but
