Please note that dairy free, gluten free and vegan items are produced on shared equipment. We opened the first nut-free cookie shop of Wilton, Connecticut in January of 2013. Over the past five years, we have become a local sensation due to our commitment to delicious, allergen-free sweets.
When I saw that several of my son's friends had nut allergies, I knew there had to be a way for them to be included with the sweet treats that were offered at birthday parties, school events, or sports games.The decision to go "nut-free", therefore, was a simple one. We don't use ingredients that contain nuts or processed in facilities with nuts, maintaining our allergen-free facility.

We ordered a chocolate chip cookie cake for my daughter's 7th birthday along with come cookies to decorate, and we were beyond impressed with how delicious everything was, especially the chocolate chip cookie cake itself. Even 3 days later when we were eating the last piece the cookie still tasted fresh and delicious. The cookie was moist even after three days, and dry out and taste stale like most cookies do after being left out for so long. I would highly recommend The Painted Cookie to anyone, especially if you love chocolate chip cookies. The cookie cake is the best and the team is very accommodating. I placed an order at the last minute due to the recent power outages and the owner went out of her way to make sure that my order was ready in time for our celebration. They saved the day!

The owner, Susan is so creative and artistic. We have used her cookies as special favors for holidays, birthdays and as great client gifts. She has done cookies in the shapes of horses for our daughter. She did beautiful hydrangea for another party. The bonus is that they are a nut free facility so very allergy friendly!

The Painted Cookie is one of our favorite places! Not only is Susan so creative and talented–she has always been able to customize whatever design we’ve wanted–but it’s great to know that I can get treats for my nephew (and anyone else with a food allergy). Sometimes you just want a beautifully decorated cookie; not a cake, not a pastry, but a gorgeous sugar cookie. The Painted Cookie always fits the bill. The items travel well and because of her packaging are great for gifting. The cookies also taste as good as they look, which is pretty uncommon for decorated cookies. My favorite part though is that you never know exactly what she will have in stock when you arrive, so depending on the season or approaching holiday, there are always some surprises. Also, try the chocolate covered Oreos. She uses an unusual confectionery dark chocolate on them

I have ordered/purchased cookies from the Painted Cookie on numerous occasions. I always order these cookies for birthday party favors for my boys and we also ordered the most beautiful bridal gown cookies for my sister's bridal shower. Additionally, I have dropped in to purchase cookies for last minute occasions such as Teacher Appreciation or holiday parties at school. And the cookies are delicious. But what really makes me love and embrace this business even more is the owner, Susan. She is the absolutely best to work with...she is super responsive, great at making suggestions, and talented

If you go in here expecting a bake shop, you will be disappointed. This is a store that as fas as I could tell sells decorated cookies, and that is it - i think it is usually just a sugary cookie covered in sugary icing.
