Master Stevens is the owner and Chief of Instruction at the Stevens Family Taekwondo located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He began training Taekwondo in the late 1970's under the instruction of a family member Mr. Robert Morris. In 1980, his training continued under Morris' instructor Master Shin Young Kong.

We have been attending Steven’s Family Taekwondo for over 5 years. They are amazing with the children. They teach much more than Taekwondo, and are also like part of our family. They have many different activities for the whole family to participate in. We are grateful for all they do, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. We highly recommend them.

This place is a great value for the money. Great discipline being taught. Lots of good black belt instructors who are 3rd degree or higher. I have 5 kids enrolled plus myself. I believe they want to train you up in the martial arts and in life. They are the real deal.

Highly recommend Stevens Family TKD! The Master, instructors and staff always make you feel welcome. They take the time needed to communicate with the student/parents as each student is working toward the next rank. My family has been attending SFTKD for the last 6 years. We have made amazing friendship and look forward to attending the homeschool class every week. They are like family to us!

Stevens Family Tae Kwon Do is the best martial arts school and after school program in Rutherford county. The instructors and staff are all very professional but also like family and you can feel that when you walk in the door. They offer a variety of programs at a variety of times and my family has always enjoyed being a part of this family!

One of the most professional environments I could imagine for learning martial arts and self defense. Master Stevens and his various instructors are all highly competent and excel in training their students. I went from having no real combat skills to feeling like I can actually handle myself in a lethal fight in under 6 months, best investment I have ever made. If you're still in doubt, just show up to one of the classes and watch the faces of the students - you'll see the kind of effect that comes from solid teaching.

Stevens Family Taekwondo is one of the best choices of my life! Great instructors who truly care about student development, great workouts, a strong tournament team, and a welcoming atmosphere are just a few of the reasons why. There are adult, homeschool, after school care, and evening classes. All for a pretty great price.

We have been going to Stevens Family TKD since August 2010, and we love it! My son wasn't sure if he wanted to take TKD, but after just a couple of lessons he was hooked. Mr. Stevens & Mr. Kelly are really great... demanding respect, but very positive and encouraging with the kids. Great family atmosphere!
