Linda is a horrible therapist, if you care about your mental health at all do not go here. She does not know what she is doing. I ended up going to another therapist that even stated that her recommendations and the way she goes about therapy is completely wrong. She gave me ptsd and it’s probably going to take me years to recover from the horrible therapy she gave me.

I only seen Linda Thomas. I did not feel comfortable towards the middle of the session. I felt more of talking to a parent than a counselor. I didn’t feel like she cared about how I felt. She didn’t have any empathy. It was like my feelings didn’t matter she was telling me on how I should act in a household on the very first session instead letting me feel like I can open up to her and relax. I haven’t returned.

I would have given them more stars but the owner was the 1st therapist that I saw. In my 1st appointment: she implied that I was misdiagnosed without actually getting to know me. She implied that my biological kids are all screwed up because we adopted and that they all believe that they weren't enough for us, once again without meeting my kids at all. She implied that I should call DFPS and tell them that I don't want my adopted kids anymore because they have problems. This lady has to be smoking something if she thinks that she knows us without actually meeting us. My kids are more important

Receptionist was very rude. I called to ask more information about couple counseling since it was my first time trying to go see one I wanted to know what they do, prices, etc... the person that deals with scheduling appointments answers my question with “about?” I mean I was clear and friendly enough to tell them my situation and how it was my first time trying to use their service... I couldn’t believe their unprofessionalism. I didn’t even get to schedule an appointment, that’s how disappointed I was.

The counseling session was good. Unfortunately my daughter is in the emergency room and I had to cancel the following appointment last minute. I got charged a $50 fee for canceling, this is unreal. No empathy for what I'm going through. Thanks a lot for making this day even worse. The irony is reviews state they cancel all the time, should patients charge the therapist $50 for canceling. I'm very disappointed with the way this was handled.

I am sorry for those who have had a bad experience. I guess we satisfied clients don't write about our experience. Northshore is my go to for all purposes. Through the years I have been there for marriage counseling with my spouse. I have been for job related issues, and now I am dealing with estrangement from my adult children. I found Northshore because I wanted to be as far from my neighborhood as I could get. I guess I could say that I found help totally by serendipity; glad I did.

I had an 11 am appointment scheduled for over a week. This would of been my first appointment. 45-minutes before my appointment I got a call canceling my appoint and wanting to reschedule for 3 hours later. I can't do that because I work. I understand life happens but to cancel my FIRST appointment 45-minutes before it's suppose to start is bad business. Especially for a new patient and the nature of the business they are in. This was a major red flag to me so I called back and cancelled all together.
