Services
For over 30 years, Chimney Cricket has served the Philadelphia area with comprehensive chimney restoration, full service chimney repairs, quality chimney inspections, and reliable chimney sweeping. Our expert fireplace repair and restoration team carefully considers the unique design and condition of your chimney to give you a product that will keep your fireplace venting safer, cleaner and more efficiently into the future.
Whether it's fireplaces, woodstoves, heaters, or dryer vents, Chimney Cricket understands the intricacies of the venting systems in your home. The National Fire Protection Association Standard 211 in PA requires all chimneys be inspected and maintained annually. Ordinary use and typical wear and tear can clog up a flue with noxious soot, creosote, and debris.
We pride ourselves in going above and beyond our customer's expectations to make their venting systems Safer, Cleaner, and More Efficient. We also know that our certifications carry with them certain responsibilities and obligations which may hold us to an even higher standard of performance and professional behavior than applicable laws, rules or regulations.
Chimney Cricket has been the choice for chimney restoration, repair, inspection, and sweep in the Philadelphia area since 1989. We service towns all over Philadelphia and the mainline. From Delaware County, to Chester County, to Montgomery County, you will see our red trucks driving around your neighborhood.
Many people don't even realize that they have a chimney because they don't have a fireplace. Even though many homeowners are beginning to utilize high-efficiency heaters, most homes still require a traditional chimney to vent their furnace, water heaters, both partially and fully-vented fireplace inserts, wood stoves, pellet stoves and more.

Jake and Matt just completed my chimney relining and connector pipe installation. I’m very pleased with the work and their professionalism. Also, shout out to Aaron who did the initial inspection. He was very thorough and patient with me in asking questions. Everyone has been helpful and friendly. I will definitely be working with Chimney Cricket moving forward for my annual inspections.

Mike And his crew let us know everyday when they would be here and kept us informed on the progress of the job at every step. Our chimney was a mess, and now we can safely have fires, and it looks much better inside and out. They were exceptionally clean after every day and actually finished early. Mike and the crew were a pleasure to have around while they were working on the job. Would not hesitate to have them back when we need the next chimney project done, large or small.

I had a estimate for work done. The gentleman was very nice and informative. He explained to me simply what had to get done.
However, it’s been over two weeks and I’ve yet to receive an estimate for work. I understand it is a busy time of year for chimneys but I feel this could be streamlined better.

Not real confident in the company after a good first experience. Was told I would be contacted in three days after my chimney inspection to talk about a log insert . Still have not been contacted and am now currently looking for a reputable company to install my insert . All they had to do was contact me and the job was there’s .

This company does not understand how to follow simple instructions. I told them not to discuss the call Any with any issues. They proceeded to try to use scare tactics on a 88 year old to do a expensive chimney repair. Guess they thought they could take advantage of an old lady Not this time

Would not provide a quote without first completing a full inspection and sweeping of the chimney, which costs $245. I already had this completed on my home (with a new home inspection) and was looking for a price to compare for a liner replacement. Chimney Cricket wouldn't provide anything without first looking themselves.

If you know what you need and are only interested in a quote, don't waste your time.

Hired Chimney Cricket to perform a level 2 chimney inspection on a prospective house purchase. Returned my call within a day, was accommodating, and delivered the report promptly. Would recommend.

Chimney Cricket doesn't answer phone. Never calls back after repeated messages. The work that was requested was never completed and was seriously overpriced.

We recently purchased a home with two fireplaces, and reached out to Chimney Cricket for a chimney inspection as we would like to start using the fireplace on the main floor of the house. We were told during our initial home inspection that the fireplace needed some minor re-pointing work. Chimney Cricket returned an estimate of over $10K in work telling us that the only "safe" way to get our fireplace in working order was to install a new liner and smoke chamber. Surprised by the amount of work quoted, we contacted another company for a second opinion (this time doing additional research
