Chris Warren-Dickins LPC
Chris Warren-Dickins LLB MA LPC is a psychotherapist (Licensed Professional Counselor) and author of Beyond the Blue, a survival guide for depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, and trauma. As Chris uses an integrative approach to psychotherapy, they will integrate different evidence-based approaches to help you to achieve your goals.

No matter the approach, at the core of Chris' work is a person-centered perspective; this means that they will work hard to understand you, placing your voice at center-stage. Chris always makes sure that the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative effort.
Services
Trauma is not always caused by a catastrophic event such as a road accident or military combat. We are looking for events, or an accumulation of events, that impact you now. Forget about what you 'should' feel, or how others may judge you, you just need to tell us how it impacts you now.

We will enquire about experiences from your childhood because research shows that this can have a significant impact on "risk factors for several of the leading causes of death in adults" (Felitti et al).See Figure 1 below. As the diagram below shows, Adverse Childhood Experiences can cause physical health complications (such as heart disease and cancer), and mental health issues (such as Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and addictions).
We have put together a collection of audio tools to help you achieve state change. State change means that you are in more of a mindful, grounded or relaxed state. This can help start the process to resolve anxiety, anger issues, depression, relationship difficulties, or whatever issue you need to work on.
To provide a tailor-made psychotherapy service, Chris Warren-Dickins has chosen to remain out of network with all insurance plans. This means that they have the flexibility to work with you in a confidential way that helps you. Payment is due at the time of each appointment, and Chris can provide you with a superbill so you can arrange for reimbursement (should your insurance plan include any out of network benefits).
